Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

I mentioned this on the other thread but let me ask about that here...

Did BigAnt make hidden improvements to batting and AI fielding? Batting seems to be more exciting, balanced and responsive than before. But has anyone noticed the change? I did not see any post mentioning about this yet, or maybe I missed.

There are things we will not mention as there tends to be a placebo effect. No doubt the game is changing and indeed getting a "refresh". Given that everyone is now familiar with the controls we can push things a little more.

Would be very appreciative if anyone can get a good photo of one of these bundles in a store.[DOUBLEPOST=1433895284][/DOUBLEPOST]

I thought they'd photoshopped this, but looking closely you can see corrugated edges on the box - I'm now pretty sure that these are out there! :)

Yep... I noticed that immediately, this is going to cause some issues.

Here is my experience, (Multiplayer on Pro)
The first match I played after the patch was with a friend at home. We had an ongoing tournament with another friend. It was 12 overs per side. In the previous matches our score would be around 50-60 at max, so much that we had a bonus point for scoring 80+ which never happened. Now he batted first, and as the match progressed, I noticed the straight hit was no longer useful (avoiding the exploit of having one fielder to cover for both long on and long off) and having both the midon/midoff with longon/long off didn't pay as before. Runs where scored all around the park and he reached 127 for 7 in 12 overs. In return I was bowled out at 109 in 10 overs or so.
Although I thought batting got 'easier' it wasn't the case. The pitch was hard and grassy. While the next match was on crumbly, worn and heavily cracked, I batted first and tried to score quickly. Ended up with 56 or so, all out. In return I was able to bring him to 46-9 or so with the help of spinners with 11 needed of 3 overs, he eventually went on to win as I dropped a couple of caught and bowled chances.
I should note that short mid-off/short mid-on are now effective as the ball sometimes looped to that area while playing spinners.
Overall, very impressed with the current state of the game. :)

What's weird is what's that second language everything is localized into on the box? Looks like Russian?

yes, the middle box (важно - vazhno - important) is in Russian, the right box (увага - ugara - attention) is in Ukrainian.

i would like some suggestions from people and maybe a developer. In my career whenever i am out its always edged and caught behind, mainly playing a good delivery (green) cover drive. I know my timing is good but is there a trick to it or is there an issue with there being so many edges when batting. Would like some feedback

Today i have noticed a wired bug in career mode that's very unease to see in the game.In career mode i have played a shot to straight boundary that was signaled as 4 by umpair but in the replay section i saw that's 6 because it's directly hitting the boundary rope.I have captured a screenshot. Here it is:

@RoughSoul answered the thread you started about this and if you look at his posts he has some great career knocks - I doubt you'll get better advice than what he said.

seriously i am getting more exited after new patch/update
Co-op mode gives a new life to this game...

however I would like to have AI more aggressive when chasing target, have seen many times, where AI needs 12 Rpo, and they go for defensive shots..

Also during bowling, in 5 overs game, AI having hardly 2 fielders outside circle. no defensive fielding..

These changes would give new enjoyment to play DBC, I hope it will also helps to get increase in sales as well..

Big Ant Team, is doing an Excellent Job here..

It does looks like a 50-50 decision, even in real cricket match, 3rd umpire tend to do such mistakes
