Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

Looking fwd to reviews of Cricket Academy from PC members.

Not really a review, just first impressions.

Cricket Academy is utterly brilliant. There is a myriad of options to shape a player in any way you see fit. It is trick to get the players likenesses really down to a tee and it will take a bit of fine-tuning by everyone to get the hang of it. it is basically click and slide, click and slide, with a photo of the player next to it and try to get the shapes and lines right. It will take time for all the well known players to be made in such a way that they are really recognisable on the other hand you can download someone's work and fine tune it yourself. As we are in a beta stage there are some things that need some adjustments.....eye colour etcetera, automatic assignment of equipment colour.....

There is a download and upload centrum which works easily and well. It is fun making the players but it is a time investment. On the other hand it is a game for fans made by fans and if the Academy is anything to by this upcoming cricket game is going to completely change the future of cricket gaming for ever....the depth and possibilities are unbelievable and bolster good for the other features and gameplay in the game itself.

Ross, third time my download is failing at 90mb. Twice it said your download is dangerous and stopped. And once a network problem it said.

Try a different browser, turn off anti virus... I downloaded it with chrome and at the end it asked me to allow or discard the file.

After playing around for little while with Cricket Academy these are my thoughts. It is a very well made editor lots to choose from. I believe BigAnts still have other attributes hidden, likewise hair styles, eye colours we still require more. To me this is the best editor to come out for a cricket. you can do so much with this.

I am not as good as other but will try and create some players soon. But guys we are definitely here for a treat. The depth of editor just shows how much hard work they have put in, and it just has shows me how depth the actual game will be.:yes

Tip - There's a bunch of stadium names in the save files you make in the editor. I need to leave after this post, but take a look.

some I have found

Understandably no English or Aussie grounds. But they go could do an Adelaide then Chennai wasn't far away.

Yes. Internet Explorer saved me :p

Use Opera guys.A very hard browser that hardly fails.:thumbs

Was a big fan of Opera until I found out Chrome opens nearly a million times faster than Opera.

Huh? Most of these are Aussie and English Grounds  Only one NZ stadium would be very disappointing for me :/

same here, used it for ages, but it's so slow compared to Chrome.

Maybe they licensed the Champions League and therefore can only disclose the name after the ipl as only after the ipl would you know the teams qualifying for it :p

I meant International venues. Except Leeds I suppose.

Those are mostly INT venues, just different names. Melbourne will be MCG, Perth will be the WACA etc

Then some smaller parks etc.

I don't think this document lists everything though.

But Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart, Perth, Worcestershire, Leeds and Southampton are listed.
