Given my point was one of customisation/variety rather than balance, I'd say you missed it entirely. Twice.
Make it a third time then. That part was ironic, and I found it amusing. I still find it ironic and amusing, regardless of any point you were trying to make.
I just edited the teams' home grounds so all my county games are at the two English grounds.
I'm still confused as to what was Ironic!
It isn't.The irony is that with the stock players out of the box, it would appear to be easier to generate edges and chances in general - thus making bowling more enjoyable.
He said that bowling was not enjoyable due to not being able to consistently generate edges and such, then he said if it wasn't for the fact that players were editable and shared through the Cricket Academy, then he probaly wouldn't still play the game. Nope. I said I enjoyed the variety and customisation from the academy, and playing with historic teams and players holds more appeal to me than current gen. I even bracketed that if the out of the box ones were real licensed players it wouldn't make a difference I still prefer the hostoric teams. So the balance issue is irrelevant to why I think the academy increases the shelf life.
Now I agree with Matt that there isn't any real difference between out of the box and those from the academy in terms of getting edges etc. but even if there was, since that was absolutely no part of what I said i liked about the academy, it still wouldn't have been ironic and you'd have still missed the point. But i think we've argued this enough now...
