With the ball being thrown to your truly and 0 for almost 100 on the board it doesn?t take a rocket surgeon to figure out line and length is required or the batting side can run away with the game. As usual Whitey wanted to make his point clear ?Slats the game is in the balance here I need you to concentrate and not give any free runs away. I don?t care what people have been saying about you I believe you?re the right man for the job so back me up here.? Said the skipper. I can?t do anything now except repay the skipper?s faith with tight spell.

Slatter has the ball at the top of his run with the Queenslander?s slightly in front at the moment but the run rate can get way from them if Slats can keep the ball in right areas.

There have been better starts but the Skipper Cameron White has faith in Slatter to perform in this Victorian team. The left handed opening pair is not the ideal situation for a right handed bowler and it had taken Slats a few overs to find his line to them.

You can always tell if the team thinks you?ve bowled a good spell as there is always positive talk and convosation between the skipper and his players and after a 6 over spell that cost just 20 runs the boys were well on top. Although Slatter still doesn?t have a first class wicket sometimes the team can benefit from just keeping the run s down. Whitey pulled up Slatter after the 6th over of the spell and said ?That?s it for this spell mate im going to bring you on at the death. Really good job mate we?re on top now and they?re going to have to smash it around if they want the runs?.

Shane Warne was the replacement for Slatter and in no time what so ever he picked up 4 wickets! The unforgettable chant of ?Warney, Warney, Warney echoes around the MCG as the Victorian picked up both openers and then Symonds and Hopes not long after.

With 8 overs remaining in the Queensland innings the match is slowly slipping away from the ING Cup favorites and what a time for the skipper Cameron White to tell Jesse Slatter ?Your on next mate?. Can Slatter keep the runs down in the final overs or will the experience of Hartley and Watson steel the game away from the 16-year-old fast medium bowler and the Bushrangers?

Cool story...But theres a problem. Nathen Pilon is a wicket-keeper. Anyway, never mind, great story.

Yeah he's a keeper in the game it's just that i forgot to change his specialist skill so dont worry. He might even be due for a game soon as Crosthwaite isn't going that well.

Still waiting for the ending of the match :D

Keep it up :D....you have my vote for best stories of the year! :D

Expecting to bowl the 43rd over I took off my cap and handed it to the umpire only to be told that Wisey was to be bowling. Whitey was saving me for the 44th over and after a brief math?s calculation I realised that meant I would be bowling the final over if the match even went that far which to be honest didn?t look like happening. When it came my turn I went to my run up and instructed my teammates to the field I had planned in my mind. I was coming into Chris Hartley who is an impressive wicket keeper batsman for the Bulls and was partnered by Watson at the non-strikers end

Allan Wise took the wickets of Hartley in the next over which means the Bulls are left with just 3 wickets but with the new man in Andy Bichel a specialist in the closing overs with his big hitting. My job is becoming increasingly easier at the moment as Wisey has finished his spell and Mick Lewis will take over from him.

Slats job looks all but over now after another tight over that leaves Watson and Bichel with it all to do. Watching Mick Lewis charge in for the 2nd last over was a good experience as you can sit back and watch how an experienced campaigner handles the situation. Unfortunately for the Vic?s Mick Lewis got absolutely smashed and an easy win for the Bushrangers suddenly looked in danger. In an eventful over that went 6, 4, 4, 4, WK, 4 the Bulls now only require 11 runs top win off the final over of the match with 2 wickets in hand and the man to bowl that over will be??Jesse Slatter.

Queensland Bulls require 11 runs off 6 balls

Wow! What a turn around. The Bulls looked out of this...Please finish this fast, dude. I have to go home, where I have a stuffed computer.

A massive time in the young kid?s career that could make or break his future in the game. Slatter is bowling to Watson in the final over

A massive wicket for the Victorian with Watson the man that looked to get Queensland home and it is now up to the last man in Mitch Johnson as Michael Kasprowicz is stuck up the other end. Will they look for a single or go for the win?

Queensland Bulls require 11 runs from 5 balls
