Editing ICC 2012

@frefort: Are there any more addresses that you need to add? I'm thinking of making a scout (similar to previous years) when you're finished with the table (assuming you give me permission to do so).

I am not sure if there are any other left to add outside of the appearance of the players; And I think we have most, if not all, of the important addresses, especially for a scout

Let me know if I can help

Think I have it covered. It's pretty easy to update the scout using the newer addresses. One issue I have is loading time (takes quite some time because of the method I'm using), still don't know how to sort that out yet though.

What about player batting potential , does this value reset also like batting ability?

Yeah it does reset.

Interestingly, I changed the fielding and batting ability to 50,000 and so far after simulating two seasons it hasn't reset

Loading time for what?

To load all the player data into the scout. Actually I've just realise a bit of an issue. I don't have what each value represents when changed (for some addresses). For example, player type, each number represents a different type (opener, allrounder, etc.) but it'll take some time to get these (manually, that is).

Is there a guide somewhere stating what each of these values represent? I think we need player type and retirements, not sure about anything else.

ok Got it to working , Now can you plz tell me about bat potential , what are the valid values etc and how its work?

Validity is exactly like batting, beyond that havent tested it much aside from noticing that batting potential effects the money being demanded by the player. In one particular case the youth player had a rating of 853 and potential was about 2550 and was demanding 29,000 compared to another youth player with a rating of 1220 and potential of 1800 asking for 27,000

----------

Player Type
1 Batsman
2 All rounder
3 Bowler
4 Opener in one day format
8 Opener in all formats
12 opening all rounder
24 Opener in T20 only (Thanks Louis)

Retirement havent played with at all just know that 252 means retired and non-active while 0 is active

Hmm and how did you find that it is actually batting potential and not something related to pay scale?

Young players were never near it, players in their peak were very close to it and players aged 35 and above namely Gilchrist, Tendulkar, and Misbah are far below it.

And besides pay scale is grouped together and potential address is not a part of it

Another thing, I noticed that there are differences between the two tables posted above. There are 26 addresses in the auto one, and 31 in the manual. Any plans to update the auto?

For the auto I removed the levels addresses

Ok, I might get started on the scout in bit. It'll be pretty basic though for the time being, along the lines of the previous years' scouts. However it'll have less info at this time (probably only nationality, batting ability, bowling ability, and some contract info).

I have loaded several players both regens and real ones but all of them have potential batting rating of 3968. Why is that so?
