Great presentation and update mate.

Presentation Ceremony

Ian Botham: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the presentation ceremony of the second 20/20 match of the Standord Series 20/20 for 20. We today witnessed some entertaining and outstanding game of cricket between the two sides from England. England got a brilliant partnership from their openers and put up a total of 188 runs to be chased. While for the Crusaders Strauss played brilliantly but at the end Crusaders were just one run short of victory. First of all I would like to call up losing captain Ed Smith to have some words.

Well Ed Smith this must have been really tough match you were you did all the hard work with the bat and then lost the match on last ball of the game. You were very close to victory but went the other way.

Ed Smith: Yeah we didnt bowl well we needed to quick wicket uo front which we didnt get. Bell and Prior played brilliantly. But while batting we had a good chance of winning the game. Strauss was playing superb cricket. But the main problem we faced was we lost wickets at regular intervals. We needed 16 in the last over but we got only 14 but overall it was good effort from the boys.

Ian Botham: Hos was the experience to play against the tea for which most of the cricketers play county cricket?

Ed Smith: The experience was absolute brilliant to play against England. There is always a bit of pressure when you are asked to play against a national team but it is the first time the boys played against England and we enjoyed.

Ian Botham: Thanks Ed and Good luck for the enxt match against Stanford Super Stars.

Ed Smith: Thanks Ian.

Ian Botham: Now before calling the English captain i will like to announce the Man Of The Match for today and its chosen by the commentary team and the match referee and we have decided that the Man Of The match for today is Ian bell for his excellent match winning innings and gave England a brilliant start.

2zi8t1u.jpg

Congratulations Ian for this wonderful batting performance and a match winning one. How do you feel?

Ian Bell: As I walk down to bat I had some pressure on me as I was not in good form. I had a point to prove and I feel I proved it today. Its always good to start a tournament with a win and I happy about it.

Ian Botham: Well how was the pitch today, was it good for playing strokes or was it a bit slow?

Ian Bell: The pitch was brilliant for batting. The ball had some even bounce and was coming nicely on the bat. The strokes were easy to play and the outfield was also quick.

Ian Botham: Thanks Ian and good luck for the next match against Trinidad.

Ian Bell: Thanks a lot Ian.

Ian Botham: Now time to call upon the winning captain Kevin Pietersen. It must be pleasing to Pietersen to keeping winning as a captain. Out of the last 6 limited over matches you have won all five of them. How do you feel about these numbers?

Kevin Pietersen: Its really pleasing to see the boys are playing well and together as a team. When we play like that then always we are gonna win. And today was a real good win for us. We just underestimated Crusaders but now we wont make that mistake again.

Ian Botham: What do you thing won the match today?

Kevin Pitersen: The opening partnership between Ian and Matt was really important so as we get the runs on the board. But one stage those runs were looking a bit less when Strauss was playing some brilliant cricket. But his wicket I thing turned match in our favour.

Ian Botham: Thanks KP and good luck for the upcoming match.

Kevin Pietersen: Thanks Ian.

Ian Botham: Ladies and Gentleman that's all from presentation ceremony and we will be meeting again very soon again for some more live and entertaining cricket.

This is some great work Shantanu. Throughout your stories your presentation and graphics work has improved drastically. Keep it up! :thumbs

About the match well hats go off to Middlesex for keeping us all intrigued. Strauss really played well against his own team :p

Ian Bell definatly deserved the Man Of The Match award for his knock.

Who is this mysterious Kevin Pitersen? Sounds like a dodgy EA name.
KIU Shantanu.

India's Journey to the World Cup[C2005]-CB Series 2007 by Surender

We start with one of the best stories at the moment. This story has been brilliant from the start and lot of hard work is done on it. After a poor display in South Africa losing the ODI Series some immediate changes were done in the team. Greg Chappell was sacked as coach and was replaced by another Australian legend Steve Waugh who earlier today has announced MS Dhoni as the new skipper of team India. While the squad for the upcoming Commonwealth Bank series was also declared. It included some new faces like Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ishant Sharma and Piyush Chawla.
Squad: MS Dhoni( C/WK ), Sachin Tendulkar( VC ), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, V. Kohli, S. Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, RP Singh, Harbhajan Singh, P. Chawala, Ishant Sharma, Irfan Pathan.

The Revival of Pakistani Cricket*Third ODI* by Pakistani Army

This another brilliant story by a great story writer. Lots of hard work and efforst put in it can be seen through the story. Pakistan after batting first but on 289 for the loss of 7 wickets. Shoaib Malik who opened the batting played a outstanding innings and scored 139 runs ins 145 balls. After posting a good score on the board Pakistan got an early breakthrough but since then the Kiwis have steadied the ship thanks to the ongoing partnership between Ross Taylor and Jesse Ryder. The Kiwis still require 192 runs in the remaining 30 overs which is a big task but they have wickets in hand which would be really useful.

Three Lions on the Shirt? ***UPDATED*** (Lunch, Day 1: Glamorgan make a positive start!!!) by Highlander999

The story of the year 2008 is a journey of a cricketer called Tom Baker who dreams of playing for England but at the moment after playing for Kent, Tom decided to go to Glamorgan and was selected in the starting 11 for the County Championship match against Surrey. Glamorgan after making a good positive start batting first lost quick two wickets. But at lunch Glamorgan were 88/2 and next to come was Tom Baker a bit nervous with his pads on.

No words to say, Shantanu! Absolutely brilliant :hpraise Match story line, presentation, additional stuffs like sportscenter.. everything is superb! Keep it up, Shan :clap

And regarding the match, if Anderson would have bowled a no-ball that time, thats it :p Great stuff under pressure in getting a wicket in that critical situation. Well done, Mr.Anderson! :)

Skipper leads from the Front

3rd Match Stanford Series, Barbados
Middlesex 176/5 lost to Allstars 177/3 by 7 wickets

Skipper Chris Gayle celebrating the win

Stanford All Stars beat Middlesex by seven wickets in the 3rd Twenty20
International in Barbados, Chris Gayle hitting 73.

Middlesex had posted 176-5 in their 20 overs, captain Eion Smith
top-scoring with 86.

But All-Stars won with 10 balls to spare as they eased to victory
with Middlesex uncharacteristically sloppy in the field.

The All-Stars opener enjoyed a 92-run partnership with Chanderpaul (35)
,Sarwan hit an unbeaten on 31 as All-Stars won for the second time
at home.

Middlesex had won the toss and Smith led the way with a 53-ball 86
which included 15 fours before he edged Ryan Emrit onto his stumps.

Despite losing Andrew Strauss in the first over, Middlesex got off
to a typically bullish start, reaching 58-1 off six overs, before Ed
Joyce (17) edged a Dave Mohammed delivery onto his stumps.

Smith then put on 60 with Nick Compton before the latter was run
out for 20 by Mohammed as the batsmen dithered in the middle.

Smith and Billy Godleman (25 not out) ensured Middlsex finished with
a competitive total despite the best efforts of Mohammed (1-17).

All-Stars lost Xavier Marshall (5) early on, edging Chris Silverwood
behind, but were in three figures before the next wicket fell, Shiv
Chanderpaul doing the same to a Kartik delivery.

After Gayle went with 24 needed from 26 balls, is fell to Ramnaresh
Sarwan and Dwayne Bravo to steer the hosts, to victory, which they
did with a series of huge boundaries.

Scoreboard

Nice win for the Allstars with a fantastic knock from Chris Gayle!!!! :D Is the next match England vs Trinidad???

Sky Sports Cricket Chat

David Gower: Hello and Welcome to Sky Sports Cricket chat for the fourth Twenty 20 match of the Stanford 20/20 for 20 series. We again witnessed brilliant all round cricket played by the Stanford Allstars when they defeated Middlesex Crusaders the Twenty 20 Cup champions of England quite easily. But today we expect for more as the English national side will take on the Twenty 20 Champions of West Indies, ie Trinidad. With me in the studio I have Michael Holding. Michael what do you think of today's game?

Micahel Holding: Thank You David, England started of this tournament in some good fashion by winning against the Crusaders by just one run. But Trinidad in the first match struggled against the Allstars so I just got a feel this match would be a complete domination by the great England side. But surely we are gonna be entertained completely by either their bowling or batting. The crowd has also played a major factor and today also I feel we will get a full house and there would be many people to support the Trinidad team which the team really needs.

David Gower: Thanks Michael and now without wasting any time lets get down to Ian Botham to know more about the pitch.

Pitch Report
x0nszt.jpg

Ian Botham: Thanks David, as you can see behind me again clear sky's which means it looks like no rain today and we would again be getting full game of cricket. As you see this pitch is a different one. Not the one which was used yesterday. There some amount of grass on the pitch will be helping the faster bowlers more. Its a new pitch recently relayed so you exactly don't know what would it favour but for me I think win the toss and bowl first and get some early wickets. I am also having a feeling we might be entertained by a low scoring match. Back to you David.

David Gower: Thanks Ian, a different and new relayed pitch is gonna be used today which has some grass, so we might have a low scoring game on the cards. Now lets go down to Nasser Hussain who is with the two captains.

Toss
Nasser Hussain: Thanks a lot David, I have Kevin Pietersen and Darren Ganga with me. Ganga will toss coin.

Kevin Pietersen: Tails

Nasser Hussain: Tails is the call and its Tails. KP what would you do first?

Kevin Pietersen: The pitch is new and recently relayed so don't know much of it.By looking at the pitch we will be bowling first and hope we get some early breakthroughs.

Nasser Hussain: Any changes in the team that won against Crusaders couple of days ago?

Kevin Pietersen: Yes we have just one change Wright makes way for a spinner in the form of Graeme Swann he could be very handy today.

Nasser Hussain: Thanks KP and good luck.

Kevin Pietersen: Thanks Nasser.

Nasser Hussain: Darren Ganga, how tough and important this game would be for Trinidad?

Darren Ganga: Its a very important game to prove to the whole world that we have good team.We lost the first game and so there is a lot of pressure on us. It going to be very hard to play against the best players from England but its gonna be exciting at the same time.

Nasser Hussain: Any changes in the side that lost some days ago?

Darren Ganga: No, we go in with the same composition and hope to produce a good result today.

Nasser Hussain: Ok Thanks a lot Darren, and good luck for the match.

Darren Ganga: Thank You.

Nasser Hussain: So the news from the center here is the Kevin Pietersen has won the toss and he has decided to bowl first. Back to you David in the studio.

David Gower: It must have been a challenging decision for Pietersen but anyways lets look at the two lineups.

England: 1)Ian Bell 2)Matt Prior(wk) 3)Owais Shah 4)Kevin Pietersen(c) 5)Paul Collingwood 6)Andrew Flintoff 7)Samit Patel 8)Graeme Swann 9)Stuart Broad 10)James Anderson 11)Steve Harmison

Trinidad: 1)Andre Barath 2)Darren Ganga(c) 3)Jason Mohammed 4)Lendl Simmons 5)William Perkins 6)Sherwin Ganga 7)Dinesh Ramdin(wk) 8)Ravi Rampaul 9)Merwyn Dillon 10)Amit Jaggernauth 11)Samuel Badree

David Gower: The two batsman are making their way in the middle. Stay Tuned as Sky Sports will bring you all live action from the first ball after a short break.

Bowling first is not a bad decision at all especially when you have good hitters in your side. :) Lets see what target Ganga's team can manage to put up!

Keep up the good works :clap

Should be an interesting game. England definitely have the upper hand due to having so many big hitters.
