Great start for Bresnan.India are tottering ATM.
Who is Imran?
Who is Imran?
At least they actually had 4 bowlers in this game. If they had that all series, they might have whitewashed it.79/5 to 226 all out is poor. Fifth bowler is a shambles as sadly too often is the case, 11 overs for 80 runs and just one wicket. Fair play to Raina, but you have to wonder what a properly balanced England side might be capable of. England have lost all but once that Patel makes 40+ so that's not a good omen either way, a tail of Bresnan, Woakes, Tredwell and Finn doesn't look up to much so England will need some substance from the top order.
England top seven
1st ODI : 313/4
2nd ODI : 144/6
3rd ODI : 108/7
4th ODI : 237/6
That's runs scored by the top order and how many of them were out. With the bowling not exactly firing there aren't enough runs coming from the top order, 802/23 which is an average of 200/6 give or take and you won't win many ODIs from that position. Of course the bowlers aren't helping, much a second string attack as England decide to rest a few key players and leave a more inexperienced bowling attack to try and bowl in probably the worst conditions to face for experience let inexperience (Bresnan 68, Patel 35, Finn 29, Dernbach 22, Tredwell 13, Root 4 = 171 ODIs between them before today, Anderson has nearly that on his own)
Team selections like this make everyone hate Dhoni. Dead rubber and he didn't gave a chance to Pujara, the best inform batsman currently in India. What type of message that'll send to the other youngsters, who's not in Dhoni's friend circle?
Why team India keep carrying such dead weight like Gambhir, who kinda slows the whole team down. Dhoni's partiality and stupidity in team selection is one of the main factor that make me hate him as a captain.
Dhoni doesn't have any partiality or fond-ness for Gambhir and the whole world knows that. Recently, he was rumored to have complained to the BCCI about Gambhir's self centred attitude and all. Gambhir is part of the Sehwag camp, and the Dhoni and Sehwag camps have been at loggerheads and we all know it.
Good win for the English, a comprehensive victory. Indians played well throughout the series however, 3-2 in India is not bad, the Indian bowling still seems very weak, most of the bowlers were lucky to get wickets.
