England In India - October 2011/12

A question From Indians,Why Indian Selectors try some new faces in bowling Same tired Faces regulate series by series. If they are gonna perform like this every time ,you should start to find Other options. What india need to be successful,is a bowler who can easily cross 90 mph speed.isn't there anyone at domestic level

Oh really? maybe that's why he played so well in South Africa ODIs where other Indian youngsters were just afraid of short pitched and fast bowling,
Most of the runs he scored are when he has came in to bat after the top order crumbles and there is a decent number of overs left.

Stop with this Yusuf Pathan nonsense. He only made runs in SA when he got that 100. Other than that he didn't had much impact in that series, too. And than after that 100 he completely failed to score runs.

There are these 2 young fast bowlers who can bowl fast. Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav. They just played in that Emerging players tournament in Australia and did not too bad. And I also read somewhere that for our series against WI, in Sep-Oct, they both might get chance as selectors are tired watching how "consistent" Sreesanth has been.

He played 3 innings there and scored a 50 and 100,
Where others were dancing when steyn, morkel and tsotsobe were bowling:p
Others are just suitable for flat tracks, some of the others couldn't even score 100 runs in 5 innings. and Yusuf did it with a great strike rate aswell,
he is not handled well, otherwise he could have had a much better career.
He is a victim of regionalism and favouritism by the selectors and captain.
He just gets chances in bits and pieces like some of the other talented players who have been wasted by the current management.

Scored 2 centuries and 1 fifty and was handy with the ball in his previous 4 matches before the world cup,
He hardly got any overs to bat in the 1st two matches,
and scored a 30 not out in the third,
and then he has 3 bad innings because he is sent right in the powerplay and is shuffled up and down the order, and the selfless player he is he just tried to go after the bowling because he was expected do it,
and guess what, he gets dropped. and the Captain's pet Raina gets in the team...

This is what happens when you come in the way of the selectors and captains favourite players, you get treated badly, you dont get proper chances and you get dropped, this is what happens in Indian cricket currently.

This is what has happened with Mishra, Ojha, Tiwary, Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan etc... etc...

hahaha Just found at CricInfo

1st Test Lord's: defeat by 196 runs. Have I made it large? 2nd Test Nottingham: defeat by 319 runs. Again the same question, have I made it large? 3rd Test Birmingham: defeat by innings and 242 runs

MSD is my favourite cricketer, but i m man enough to point out where he is wrong,
I can't speak in his favour just because he is my favourite player,
Whatever is wrong is wrong, nomatter who does it.
Current management have are biased and going by favouritism, that's the reason why there are very less players getting groomed currently, we saw so many players getting developed under Ganguly and Dravid even though there were limited resources, its the opposite now

Drug scandals, have we made it large?
Match fixing, have we made it large?
Players getting banned, have we made it large?
No matches on home venue, have we made it large?
No we haven't, because we are used to it.

^Now you are getting Back on that crappy Debate Well as all of us said These scandals have been gone quite long ago But still i can assume your feelings yeah off course 3-0 is a disaster for former No.1s

Have you made it large??:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

And that's play abandoned gentleman. Weather looks fine tomorrow, Saturday looks a bit meh, but shouuld get some decent overs in. Sunday and Monday look awful though.

Draw written all over it.

Er, well it looks flat, but that might be the bowlers. Certainly not much swing. Oval pitches tend to be awesome for the first 3 days with bounce and swing coming in to it.

With this pitch and the weather forecast, it'll take one hell of a scenario to see a result here.

Corruption, favoritism, etc. You know how it is.
