England In India - October 2011/12

Yeah. Lets hope he doesnt end up as another Vinod Kambli

----------

I think Finn's outburst was more due to the constant bullying he gets from Swann and Jimmy on twitter:D. Raina just gave him a reason to vent all that frustration. :p

Kohli is not 23 he is 21 :p
Again the poms will say we care a ???? about this series and all but hey... You always get loyally ????? dont you in India.

Oh ya I will mention that you outplayed us in Tests so that there is no banter against me. Congrats for that

Oh good lord!! England your sledging is not enough!! You have to play competitive cricket as we played in your backyard. Show you are not a fluke side in ODI's*. Oh wait!! I forgot you dont care :rolleyes Good!! Have some more thrashing then by losing 5-0. As it is you dont care.

About Steve Finn particularly he was a bit over but understandable. His team is doing nothing batsman are doing nothing fielding is poor then a Bangladesh side, I can understand forgiven son!! :p

Back to cricket

England have quality test bowlers who can bowl good spells (back in England Only) but they need to find good ODI bowlers. Even the likes of Anderson or Broad would have been smashed. Look at Graeme Swann the No1 ODI bowler against India, played 11 matches and has average of 32 with ball and economy of almost 6 runs per over. Anderson and Broad are way more shitty in ODI then him.

Go India Go 5-0 is in your way!!

Thought Meaker and Finn bowled really well today, the latter in special. As I'd said earlier, he seems the only committed guy in the bowling department, with a motive and a never-say-never attitude. Borthwick was absolutely dreadful and just whom India needed to showcase their art of explosive batting in the middle overs, in spite languishing at 25-2 after 10 overs.

My million dollar question however is -

Why is Samit Patel in the playing XI as an 'all-rounder' when he gets to bowl just 10 odd deliveries of pies?

Not to forget how India have outclassed England in a department where the latter are always skilled and better at - fielding.

Just recall Collingwood already!

What I'd really like from the ECB is a OD Tri-series tournament in England featuring the emerging and a few nationally contracted England players. Like the one they have in India named the NKP-Salve Trophy, featuring India Red, Blue and Green.

England 8-4 India.

England VS India Since 1976

ODI's

England 27 - 40 India with 2 Tied encounters and 3 No results

Test Matches

England 10 - 11 India with 15 Drawn encounters. :D

Anyways, I would really like to see how England does in England against the Saffers. If they win the test series they are truly the World Champion in Test. :)

Well played India. They are unbeatable at home. Good to see young Varun Aaron playing well and bowling fast too. Kohli has a very bright future for India, atleast in the shorter formats. I want to see India stick to this squad and include the likes of Pujara, Yusuf, Shikhar Dhawan, Iqbal Abdulla, Abu Nechim in the future. Also will be interesting to see how Rahul Sharma goes. Where is Deepak Chahar? I remember him getting an 8-fer in an innings.

England are really shite in ODI's in the sub-continent lol. Yes, we have a few missing from the XI but really, we are shite. I wish there could have been a test series after this, now that I reckon would have been a good close encounter

^^ Cannot agree more. If there would have been a test series of say 3 test matches instead of playing the West Indies side, we would have seen how they perform :p

I dont know why we are playing WI. We could have easily played a 3 match test series in the given time with England. WI without Gayle isnt worth watching.:facepalm

This WI series was not planned before. Now that i think about it, I guess BCCI arranged this so that Indian team can get some momentum and confidence in test matches before Australia. Another loss at the hand of England would have been too much before Australia. But god forbid if WI manages to draw/win this series, What will happen to Indian team:p. Its highly unlikely but stranger things have happened in cricket before. ;)
Like expecting Malinga to hit a 15 ball 30 to win a match.:p

Even though Varun mostly got wickets of tailenders out, he still looks to me as an excellent death bowler. His yorkers were mostly perfect. Still needs to work on it though. Watching Kohli play is sooooo good.
