Mishra in for Harbhajan for the reason I specified earlier - they then have two English top order batsmen's wickets for free in Trott and KP. Yuvraj ahead of Raina cos he has a special liking for England plus the left arm off spin bowling option comes into effect for taking out KP, while Raina's expected to struggle in the English conditions. Fact - Raina's highest score in England during the World t20 of 2009 was 10 against Bangladesh, though he's a far far better player now.

P.S: Just my opinion.

He will directly join the Indian team for the 2nd test starting on 29th. He arrives in England on 25th

Glad to see Yuvraj back, I think he'll play at lords in place of Raina. Not quite convinced with Mukunds selection but they don't have any other option I guess, Vijay has been a failure in recent times.

There is no way PK will play ahead of Sree. Sreesanth bowled really well in the South African tour. And yeah I think Yuvraj should play the 1st test.

PK will get advantage for his swing but again you are correct Sree will take his place due to seniority and experience at Test Level

Why arent you convinced about Mukund? He has had two good innings in tough conditions in the ongoing WI series so far (25 and 48). He looks much better than Vijay. Obviously you get better with experience. I am so happy that the selectors took the right decision of giving Mukund the opportunity over Vijay. If Mukund can play some good innings in the third test against WI and at Lord's, he will make a strong statement.

They have picked a good team. Good that they are going with 17 players as it will allow us to play a specialist opener in place of Sehwag who wont play the Lord's test. Raina will start out as the favorite for the No.7 spot in the batting lineup over Yuvraj. I am pretty sure they wont have a makeshift opener and make Yuvraj play (if they had such ideas, why pick Mukund). So Yuvraj most likely wont play the Lord's test.

Saha is a surprise!! Why are they doing a ping pong between Parthiv and Saha?
