England In India - October 2011/12

I think the selectors are ignoring him for some reason though.

You expect Indian selectors to have a reason? They are just not doing it. Why do they need to anyway? They are just part of the BCCI.

I am sure Varun will get picked for like 1 or 2 ODI's. Not sure about Rahul Sharma as we alredy have Jadeja as our all rounder and Raina will also come in handy. Just saw that Rahul Sharma scored 52 and Varun scored 41 in the match of Rajasthan vs Rest of India. So they can bat, too. I am sure they will pick Arvind as he is a lefty.

Rahul Sharma is just in the squad to make up the numbers. Won't be surprised if MSD rules himself and Raina out of the series after 2 games citing too much cricket/ injury picked up in CLT20.

Abu Nechim was bowling in the 140s against NSW. India might finally have found themselves a fast bowler.

Its always the same with India- Zaheer KhanIshant and Munaf too used to bowl really fast earlier, but they seem to lose their zing later on.

MSD and Raina are being overworked. Indian selectors suck.

Ishant still has his zing when he gets his rhythm to be fair.

Sharma's definitely faster than most, or at least he has been this year. It's just that the really quick Test bowlers reach 145-150 kph with their effort ball; someone who had pace as a 19 year old probably could be getting up there too.

Do you seriously think of only business in cricket?!:facepalm

Slow and steadily the casualties are starting....It seems Kohli might miss the one-day series due to a thumb injury :D which he sustained in the last game.

Though I dont think its a serious injury and also still some time left... a week to go for the series to begin....

First tour match is finished. Finn gets a hat-trick to finish off the innings for a 50 odd run victory. Bopara still looking in good form, as is Finn. Woakes looking useful in both departments.

It's quite a big tour for our bowlers. Good chance for several out there to make a name for themselves.

Hyderabad 11 did really bad in the end. I was expecting a close finish with the way Shinde was playing but anyway it was a good bowling performance from them.

Good to see Bopara starting in form. Hopefully he'll get the series at either 4 or 5 to show what he can do. It'll be interesting to see who misses out batting wise. Bell and Bairstow you'd imagine would be the top two choices. Big series coming up for Finn too, with his pace, he could cause the Indians problems. Another who needs the whole series to show what he can do.
