Looks like you got your wish. I feel for Ready though; he's been near-faultless behind the stumps, but I suppose the modern-day trend to have a keeper/batsman may prove his downfall. Be interesting to see how Jones does though.

4th Test Stumps Day 1

West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first

West Indies 1st Inning 208/2 (Lara 86*, Gayle 69)

go guys....let's try to avoid a clean sweep, break their brooms! lara a happy return to form, i certainly believe if he doesnt get out in the first hour, we're certainly looking at 150- 200 for the great man!

what a return to form!!! i told u guys, once he doesnt get out b4 lunch...a double is on the cards...now it looks like a triple!!!!

4th Test Stumps Day 2

West Indies 1st Inning 595/5 (Lara 313*, Sarwan 90) (Batty 2/141)

Brian Lara: the second man after Don Bradman to make two Test triple-centuries

Congratulations to Brian. I'm assuming he's going for the record innings now - possibly at the expense of the match. Let's face it, with the way the pitch is playing it will be the best chance he will get.

I, for one, wish him all the best.

I just hope he goes for a record breaking and dont declare... this is definately a good batting wicket and there will be a chance where they might not be able to take England wickets....

Go Lara!

I've not seen much of the first 2 days but from what little I did see it looks like it was a good toss to win! I think we all knew Lara had a big innings around the corner, but it seems like he's back to his best. I reckon he'll have a blast before lunch today to try and get his record back (deservedly so), then declare and try and get some quick English wickets. Good luck to him, especially after all the pressure he's been under recently.

It's Lara's 2nd triple century on the same ground too- according to CricInfo anyway
And I think that he'll keep going for the record provided he doesnt get out

surely Lara cant do this twice to England

come on boys nobody wants this unwanted record

Just heard on the radio that he's looking for 700 - 750 for the 1st innings and he wants to reach a personal 400. He has an excellent chance.

Bit of a let down if he's out 1st ball!!

Not surprising- it always was B.C. Lara first, team second
For the first and only time in my life i'm going for England :)
