Why have England picked Harmison for the ODIs after not picking him in the last couple of tests?

His bowling average in the tests was 36.75, which is not too bad in a high scoring series, and a hell of a lot better than a half fit Sidebottom's 181.00 and Amjad "The New Saj Mahmood" Khan's 122.00.

Once again Harmison has been punished for not taking 7 for 12.

Also, what were the Sky team on about? Saying this is the best team we can pick, there's no way Strauss is a good enough ODi player to get into the side ahead of even Ian Bell. Davies top scored in the T20, and Prior's got a woeful ODi record, so I can't say I agree with the batting line-up at all. The bowling line-up's right given the players in the squad though, just looking forward to seeing Freddie back, just so long as he doesn't replace Dimi.

190-3 from 37 overs is a very decent score on this pitch. If we get the full 50 overs in after this rain delay, then we should easily get to 270, just so long as we don't lose wickets. Going to be a tough chase for West Indies if England make 265-270.

Prior should have opened and Strauss batted low. Although Strauss shouldn't be playing with the Trottster waiting in the wings.

Trott isn't waiting in the wings though, as far as the England selectors are concerned he doesn't exist! Knowing the England selectors, Michael Vaughan'll be the next England ODi opener.

No point in Strauss batting down the order, he opens or he doesn't play.

The batting powerplay should have been take whilst KP and Shah were in. No point taking it in the last 10 overs as you're going very aggressive anyway.

Still, 260/270 will be competitive, if we bowl well.

He really shouldn't be playing. He's just not all that good. We tried the same with Vaughan and it never worked. No ODI century for 4 years and that was against Bangladesh. (admittedly a Bangladesh side that beat the Aussies). Then we have Trott who is like just a little bit better than Viv Richards

What the hell was Broad doing sacrificing his wicket. Don't ruin your average just because Prior can't run Stu.

England take the powerplay early and then only score 17 for the loss of 2 wickets, no surprise there.

I have never seen the batting Powerplay work for any team who takes it earlier than the 45th over.

Teams are continually taking it too early, and then batsman are in two minds as to what to do and then just end up losing their wickets and only scoring at 3 or 4 an over.

Teams should take it right at the end of their innings and loot 50 or 60 off the final 5 overs when they have a license to slog and wickets in hand.

One thing, what is Botham on about with Anderson going back to his original action? If you find a video on Youtube of him getting a hat-trick in an ODi against Pakistan, it shows Jimmy's original action, and it is NOT his current action. The run-up's different, the load up is completely different, and it's only the actual delivering of the ball that's even remotely similar to his current action. Botham talking out of his arse again.........
