Nice going by Gayle, thus far, two brute 6s and West Indies overall run rate is pretty good, we just need to keep going and not lose another wicket for the day.

Sarwan>poo>Bell. :p

Don't see how Darryl (?) Harper managed to get that one wrong? Has to go with the umpire unless it's clear he's wrong. Oh well, we can have referrals but still can't take human error out :D Englands attack aside from Flintoff looks worryingly unthreatening.

If you're going to plan on dropping Pietersen after getting out in the 90's you better drop Bell and Collingwood for being crap for the past 18 months and also Alastair Cook for failing to convert 1 of his last 8 fifties into hundreds. It's ridiculous.

Says the person who wants to drop Collingwood after he has hit two hundreds in his last three tests but still wants to play Bell in spite of his 'bad form'.

Yeh but Collingwood never looks remotely good and scores scratchy hundreds, Pietersens actually good, and should not even be considered as a candidate for dropping!

Monty looking very good, bowling slower and getting spin, good signs. Bob Willis is a legend aswell, his comments regarding Daryl Harper were comedy gold!

Oh Gayle, hitting ever so sweetly, what an effortless 6, in fact both were, especially when you hitting Flintoff for a 6!!!!

WestIndian added 37 Minutes and 4 Seconds later...

Good intelligent batting by Gayle, long-off and long-on deep so the singles are always on from Monty's bowling. Healthy partnership, going at a little above 3 runs per over. And the 100 up :clap:clap

Collingwood might not look good but he is scoring more runs than Bell at the moment.

This is painful to watch. Mr Hoggard must be wondering how he can be considered any worse than this. Broad was thrown into the side way too early, send him back to county cricket.

England aren't doing very well atm. Monty hasn't been bad but hasn't been very penerative, Broad and Harmison have looked harmless Flintoff did well and so did Sidebottom.

I think we need to change it up a bit atm get Sidebottom on perhaps change Montys end.

Lol, Just reading this on Cricinfo. Made me laugh.

Strauss is doing his best to rally the troops. He's chosen to clap his hands. Not inventive, but historically it's always proven quite effective

:D

:clap:clap well played 50 by Sars, very patient, it appears the form that left him on the New Zealand tour is returning, this is the first test, if he does pick up form, it will be great for the West Indies.

England are wasting their time picking Broad in Test matches...he is not one of the 5 best bowlers in England so he should not be picked.

I don't care how well he bats, his job is to take wickets.

Broads still being picked on potential and ODi form, he shouldn't be in the Test side though, needs to go back to Notts and take some wickets! Jimmy should be in for the next Test. The pitch is doing nothing though tbh, we've not bowled badly, just Gayle and Sarwan have played well.

Time for the KP 5fer!

Aye. Good option and successful in ODI's but he's not cutting it as a test bowler for the moment. More time in County Cricket and in and around the squad without being selected in anything other than ODI's will do him good.
