I think that what Tresco was\is suffering from is more than just simple homesickness. It's more likely to be a complex combination of depression, stress, anxiety and other symptoms.

We sometimes fail to really appreciate the life of a county cricketer (let alone an international) and the nights spent away from home\family in a lonely travel inn or similar. Yes, they are rewarded well for doing so but (and this is from experience as I've spent a lot of time working away from home) that is of little comfort when all you really want it to be around family.

Hooper - whether its a pom (sigh) or whatever its not really on to mock. You may suffer some the same affliction yourself one day and I'm sure that you would like others to be understanding. Ok, there is a rivalry between England and Oz but lets keep it sporting and not result to making immature comments about items outside the arena.

Moving on topic and I think the squad is an interesting one and wait with interest to see how they cull it. Personally I would go with those guys who have excelled in the format especially seeing that a number of England regular lack 20/20 experience due to ODI series being played during the tournament.

That's not to say that they won't be able to adapt their game but lets have a good mix and use the fact that the game has almost been pioneered over here and that we've had the time to try things and see what will and wont work (the use of spinners being a great example).
