England tour of South Africa 09/10

SA slight favourites for me. If you're batting 4th you're always going to be under more pressure and SA would hope to set a target of at least 300 - a lot of time left in this match still.

Agreed but I think South Africa are just as wary of the English bowling as we are of theres and this pitch has proven to be tricky to post a good score on. One Mr Kallis could be the difference this time around.....

Steyn showing again that he is hugely overrated. Completely ineffective against England at home and away, and couldnt even trouble Phil Hughes earlier this year! Just shows that terrorizing NZ and Bangladesh means absolutely nothing.

And Today Mate , what happened :rtfl:rtfl:rtfl:rtfl:rtfl:rtfl:rtfl:rtfl:rtfl:rtfl:rtfl

IMO the 3rd day will be very crucial, because Eng trail by 50 with 3 wickets in hand, so even if they get 30-40 runs, they are quite at par, so whichever team wins the 3 day will definitely have edge...

Shrewd observations.......

Not wanting to curse anything but holding thumbs we go into our 3rd innings with a 50 odd run lead. Bat for a day at least and make the poms chase 300 odd in the last day and a half. They will never chase it down and if they do it will be thanks to the South Africans on their side.

Phew! Hectic start this!!!! England will do well to avoid a first innings deficit here. I can't imagine this game going five days though....Anderson's first golden duck in his career I read on cricinfo..not bad for a tail-ender. England will be gleefully taking note of what these South African bowlers are doing off the pitch....

Whers is everyone...this is gripping stuff. Okay England all out with South Africa 20 runs in front. Welll they would have taken that yesterday afternoon so all to play for....

Well yer it's a close game, now its time to wait for Owzat & Co to start pulling stats from thin air :laugh

I think unlike the Indian fans, we prefer to actually watch the game than comment on every delivery.

Dilshan not playing and Sri Lanka won the toss. India will bat first.

SHIFT!! Gambhir gone.

Today Virat "Superman" Kohli will probably get his 2nd ton.

damn you Kohli

India has some chances of posting good total...

Thisis exactly what I mean, it's all rubbish. Looks like the C07 downloads forum, oh.. wait...

On a real note, I hope prince is out, he is due a score and with his conversion rare as it is, if he gets 50, he'll most probably get to a hundred.

Tres true! Get this: so I am watching the game and listening to it on the internet, flicking into PC and Cricinfo every now and then whilst trying to save England from a horrible defeat to Paksitan in a fifty over match in Cricket 07: it wont surprise you that with all the distractions England are currently 27 for 5 with Trott making 22 of those runs and our only hope of overhauling the 189 needed!:D

Darryl Harper what were you thinking, the bat was about 10-15cm away from the ball. Oh well, a well used review.

I'm glad I'm not the only person that gets to 27-5 then!

I think it was because he thought Prince was walking, which is why Harper seemed to look so confused when he asked for the review.
