If india stirkes gold then england will crumble.
remember the english during wc 03 and icc 02 matches against england.

But that's the thing we've come on leaps and bounds since then.

What times are the normal playing times for tests in india and Pakistan? IN GMT would be great.

Test Matches start at 10.00 AM IST in India and

IST = GMT + 5.30 hours

Yes I agree with iceman waugh that if India plays well in batting and bowling england will lose. Remember the 3-0 trashing in 93?

1993?? it has been 12 years buddy and the england team has improved leaps and bounda from that year!

The nearest player to have a played a test in the current team to then is Tres who debutised in 99.

Good comparism.

Tres,Flintoff and vaughan have played in india before.
Last time round vaughan was in top form.

No he wasnt. He was in then news because he once got out handled the ball.

Also England lost to India in India 1-0 and drew the series at home 1-1.

The best player of spin in England for a decade had to be Hussain closely followed by Stewart but none of them will be in team.

One Shot Ponies?

Haven't lost a test series in 04 or 05. udal has taken 36 wickets at 20. Warne can play at 36 why not Udal? (not comparing ability just age)

No. One shot ponies. England have no chance with Udal, wtf.

Who says he's actually going to play! Averaging about 20 this year in CC. What makes England 'one shot ponies' then? England have one their last 6 test series and many of those, just a few years ago, we could well have lost (WI, NZ, SA and Aus).

@ Ronny, in the away series against India that year, it was one of the weakest sides we've sent on tour, certainly in terms of bowling. In the 1st test, we had a bowling line-up of Hoggard, Ormond, Dawson, Flintoff, White and Butcher. Hardly world beating now is it.

As for the 2002 home series, it was a series contested between two pretty evenly matched teams. The England side now is way, way better than it was then, how far have India progressed since then? Not as far as England. Take a look at our bowling attack throughout that series; Hoggard, Harmison, Jones and Flintoff all played at some point and look where they are now. They make the most threatening pace attack in the world, as Australia found out. Even at The Oval, where Australia were 264-2, we still kept coming at them, and bowled them out with a lead of 6!

Just about the whole team can play spin, especially Pietersen.

I am sure Pietersen is definitely going to flourish on Indian wickets. His attitude will definitely fetch him success. He goes after the spinners without thinking anything else which would definitely work in India! Lets see if the others adopt the same approach too!
