England's tour of India - 2021

"It's not the pitch but the mind that is getting the batsman out"_ Sunny G

I mean like WTH!!!!!!

Pretty extreme measures from Dom Sibley here - actually getting to the pitch. And Axar Patel with that Ashutosh Aman bowling average

This is funny to watch but the pitch isn't that great, both teams remain clueless on how to tackle spin and Axar is far better than I expected him to be.

What is reason behind the selection of Sundar? He didn't bowl yesterday. Today, he got out by Root. Why Pandya was brutally overlooked by Ravi & Kohli? If he was there today, he could easily destroyed Rooty & Leachy. That's really poor decision by Ravi & Kohli.

Extending the batting depth probably and actually bowl some overs.

Didn't Bairstow get a pair in that one match he came back for in South Africa this time last year?

100 is defendable in this Test. Just go all out and score 5 rpo. Slogs from everyone ought to take them closer to 100.

I'm still haunted by Smith's Pune knock, anything similar from Root could be match-winning here.

That is some fall, I remember him averaging over forty once. We have Rahul and Rahane to mirror such a drastic fall too.

If he, Stokes and Foakes can somehow get England to 120 or 130, then this will be a thriller.

I'm also really impressed by Sibley, he's getting to the pitch

Sibley is a proper test bat. Need to give him a long rope. My other worry is indeed Foakes, he played spin really well in the previous game. Stokes on the other hand will be very vulnerable to Ashwin, might be worth it to just ask him to play ultra aggressively and grab some quick runs.
