England's tour of India (Nov '16/Feb '17)

India don't have players like Sehwag as he is the last one with such skill in recent past. Other countries do have such players. Australia - David Warner, South Africa- Hashim Amla, England - Jason Roy, New Zealand - Martin Guptill, West Indies - Darren Bravo, Bangladesh - Tamim Iqbal, Pakistan - Mohammad Hafeez etc...
If you are talking about Sehwag's skills, it means the kind of destructive batsmen in the top order right ? That's what I understood.

If you are talking about that, how does Darren Bravo belong there ? And QDK is more dangerous in that aspect than Amla. They might be in par, but QDK is just little better. Not quite the same thing with Hafeez too.

So, maybe you are talking about different skills ?

Not really a destructive batsman. The ability to be unpredictable is what I'm talking about.

QDK slows down his game in between the overs.

I feel in terms of hitting, QDK is better than Amla.

Anyway, good batting by England. Taking singles consistently and hitting boundaries now and then. Need to make some changes for the team in next match and hopefully Kohli does that.

Well done hardik pandya and ben stokes

I know they are your favourite players for the respective nations but don't know what Stokes did today? 2* and 1/40? Hardik was decent though.

Adding to the "Should Kohli open in T20" debate, I too think he should not*. No.3 is where he should be in ODIs and T20I. Opening the batting is not an easy task and it should be handled by people who are accustomed to it.

* opinion does not take IPL into account. There's a world of a difference between playing in IPL and playing against an International team.

While we all are discussing whether or not Kohli should open or whether or not x batsman should play in my opinion, we should play with 6 batsmen only including Pandya! Its clear that more often than not we depend on our batsmen even in T20Is and hope bowlers will work out some way or the other to restrict the opposition. I really liked the balance of the team when we used to play Bhajji at 7. With Bhajji no good, we can play Pandya there. As far as smacking from the first ball is concerned, Ive not seen Pant apart from U-19 WC final in which he got out cheaply. Mr. selector has also stated that Saha is their first choice (not sure its the right thing for a selector to give his opinion about a player in public) but hey if we think out of the box, Parthiv is the man who can hit the ball from ball #1 plus he likes to play against the seamers so he is perfect for opening slot till Dhawan finds form or Rohit comes in. Mishra too is an excellent white ball bowler while being a pathetic red ball bowler at the same time. My XI would be:

Parthiv/Pant
Rohit
Kohli
Raina (Yuvi has to go)/Rahul (the latter comes in overseas because Raina will be walking duck against short ball there)
Rahul/Jadhav
Dhoni
Pandya
Chahal
Mishra/Nehra/Jadeja
Bhuvi
Bumrah

Pandey is an amazing #3 or #4 batsman but unfortunately the way our team has shaped up at the moment, he is better off not playing rather than being sent as a pinch hitter. Hope he takes up #4 from Yuvi when the latter retires in ODIs.

Good bowl. Chahal

The current commentary is quite pathetic. They call the bad ball when it is hit for boundary but when same ball is bowled and if batsman defend it then they call it a great ball.

Completely disgusting....

This has been the standard for commentary for a long time.... Gone are the days of Bill Lawry and Tony Grieg... Today, I could see only Bumble as an unbaised commentator and talks sense.

Rasool should be dropped from the team . He was chewing gum during the National Anthem , that "too" on 26th January ..... He could've stopped chewing and kept him mouth close for a minute , but no , he had to disrespect

Anyways , he would surely be dropped after that performance

Rishabh
Pandey
Virat
Raina
Yuvi
MSD
Hardik
Amit Mishra
Bhuvi
Chahal
Bumrah

You're kidding right??

Surely because someone was chewing gum shouldn't affect his cricket career. What about the thousands of people shouting, screaming and talking through the national anthem, should we also chuck them out the stadium??

The Indians kept quiet or either sang
If not , Rasool was on camera & on National duty

Anyways , we want the experienced Mishra to be back :thumbs

Huh ? So , ? ............... ROFL :lol
You are kidding a lot , hehe
They are audience

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One more thing , the players sing the National Anthem , "especially"......
What Rasool was doing , was not sounding good on the TV

Who's talking about ending his career , He should be given some firing , not to do it again
Mishra & Bhuvi should be back in the next match
