England Innings
A 50 partnership between Vaughan and Pietersen, but it's going to be a tight one!
With 10 overs to go, England reached 211-3 thanks to an unbeaten 56 run partnership between Vaughan and Pietersen, meaning they require 70 to win off 60 balls (that is 7 runs per over btw, if you can?t figure that out!:p). Vaughan played a little tenderly in the early going but manage to hit a 6 and then two more 4?s when England needed it to reach 78*. His partner Kevin Pietersen seemed to finally find his rhythm for the first time in the World Cup as he hit two 6?s and a 4 to get to 28*. Between overs 31-40, England scored 53 runs including three 4?s and three 6?s but more importantly didn?t lose a wicket.

Collins Obuya bowled through his 10 overs and was very disappointing as his spin seemed to favour Kevin Pietersen as he was knocked over the ground with his figures of 10-0-59-0 which isn?t what the Kenyan management would have wanted from their premier spinner. Tikolo bowled 3 overs and even though his figures look expensive, caused lots of problems for Vaughan and Pietersen, who did hit two 6?s off him. His figures of 4-0-24-0 will have to better at the end of the game but with the way he is bowling, that could easily happen. Patel turned his arm and did brilliantly under-pressure as his experienced showed by mixing the balls up giving Pietersen a lot of problem on the front foot. His figures of 3-0-14-0 are superb considering the time and place he has came on to bowl.

This game is getting really exciting, even though both sides are through, the bonus point for the Super 8?s is on the line and Kenya have shown that they are certainly no pushovers. If England lose a wicket or two early in the next 10 overs, then I think goodbye bonus point but if Kenya don?t bowl tightly, then England will have it. Both sides are feeling the pressure, will they wilt under it? All we know is that one team will win to get the bonus point but who?

We still have KP and our (ex :p) captain there so I am confident England can make it over the line.

Great work Bobby, loving this :)

Its going to be a tight one but I think if Vaughan and Pietersen stay at the crease then they can definatly win this match. A wicket now and the game will be in Kenya's favour.

Great works Bob. Keep up the great graphics and quality updates!

going to be a close one. england should win this

England Innings
Final Ball Drama!
Thanks to a brilliantly ran two by Sidebottom and Mascarenhas off the final ball of the innings, England won by 3 wickets in one of the most exciting games the world cup has ever seen. During this period, England scored 70 runs including 4 sixes and 3 fours plus they lost the 4 wickets of Vaughan, Collingwood, Pietersen and Flintoff.

England looked out of it when Michael Vaughan threw his wicket away with the run rate required over 8 an over, then Paul Collingwood hit one straight at the man on the boundary with England still needing 58 to win off 40 balls but Kevin Pietersen hit 3 sixes in a 29 run partnership with Andrew Flintoff to put England in a commanding position. At the start of the 46th over though, Pietersen?s luck ran out as he went out for a superb 57 putting Kenya back in the driver?s seat. Then Flintoff started his cameo by scoring 22 off 14 balls putting England in touching distance with 4 required off 5 balls, but then he got bowled by Suji putting England in a very risky position. Up stepped ?Mr. Cool? Ryan Sidebottom to hit 4 runs off the final 2 balls to give England a sensational victory.

Tikolo was punished during his 5 over spell as he went for another 36 runs including 2 sixes from Pietersen and Flintoff as England managed to hit more runs than required off him. His figures of 9-0-60-0 proved to be the difference between the two sides. Patel bowled brilliantly with some very tight lines and got 2 wickets in Vaughan and Collingwood to put England on the back foot and his figures of 6-0-32-2 are a credit to him. Aga bowled 2 more overs including the final over and he did get the 2 wickets of Pietersen and Flintoff at real vital times but failed to stop England from steal the victory. His figures of 5-0-34-2 don?t show how well he bowled but he will be certainly upset with himself anyhow.

With the group stages now over, both sides can now relax as they have a few days off to recuperate from this magnificent game. Kenya showed that they deserved their place with a great batting display and taking England to the wire and even though without the bonus point, must still be classed with a chance of getting through to the Semis. England can count themselves lucky with this win but they have shown the ability to grind out wins from games they looked like they were going to lose, something which I imagine will happen a few more times before this world cup is over and now with Vaughan and Pietersen looking like they are in form, England look a good bet to go on and win the world cup.

What a cracker! That is called a Cricket game for you. Just goes to show how the momentum can change in the space of a few overs. I know England won but well played Kenya. :clap
