:laugh From 1-100 they somehow end up up at 150-9. James Franklin picked up a few wickets though which is good too see. Too bad it's raining at the moment.

I'm really enjoying these Pro 40 now as the teams give their youngsters a chance.

Vince looks a decent batsmen, has been a very solid knock thus far. Has taken singles very well being very proactive.

Yeh, shame it's being binned and we're only getting 1 proper OD tournament next year.

Vince does look very good. Didn't look quite as good against the Bangladesh Under-19 side on Sky a few months back. Looks alot better today though, certainly showing abit of responsibility as the rest of the top/middle-order collapsed. He's going to be hyped by the Sky Team now though, especially Hussain. They'll be calling for Hales and Vince to open for England when we inevitably get hammed 7-0 by the Aussies in the ODi series.

Edit: Brilliant end to a superb innings. First off, an excellent knock from Vince. One of the better innings from a young lad we've seen all season. But now on to James Foster. He got alot of praise for some good, but regulation stumpings in the World T20, but that was something different. To take the ball after it's gone between the batsman's legs, then to have the presence of mind to dive back and take the bails off was brilliant. Best keeper in England, incredible stuff.

Brilliant keeping and Vince is out great innings he certainly looks to have promise as does Dawson who had a decent innings.

Poor Vince, an amazing innings but you have to give it to Foster, great keeping!

JFos King of Sixers!!!!!!ONE!!!!!!! Poor Scott Borthwick, awesome hitting from Fos to end the match, just a shame he couldn't hit all 6 for six.

Alastair Cook making another limited overs hundred as well. Well done to that man. Hope he gets as many runs as under his belt as he can before South Africa.

Indeed. The technical changes he's made certainly seem to be working. He's playing alot straighter and his head position seems alot better than it was before. Nice to see him finally pulling his finger out and realising his technique needed changes. Bit strange to see him doing it mid-season though, lucky it's paid off for him.

James Taylor made another score today. Looks a real good young talent, and he's had an incredible season. Averaging over 65 in the Championship with 3 hundreds including an unbeaten double century. Is doing well in List A cricket also, averaged 52 in the FP Trophy and 39.20 in the Pro40. Definitely be looking out for him in the near future.

James Foster sent a message to the England selectors about his hitting power when he struck Durham legspinner Scott Borthwick for five consecutive sixes off the first five balls of an over as Essex surged to a seven-wicket Pro40 victory at Chester-le-Street. He missed out on the chance to finish the match in grand style with a full house of sixes when the sixth ball was fired down the leg side for five wides.

How gutted! is that a 35 over then or a 36? Foster clearly can do it :)

Sorry, am I the only one remember his hitting ability in the T20 World Cup?

If we don't have Prior in ODIs (his test slot isn't under question), then it's Davies.

Rory Hamilton Brown is smearing Notts everywhere at the moment. 48 from 24 currently. He's like Luke Wright Mark II but bowls spin not seamers. He looks like he has alot of talent shame he hasn't really made use of it yet in his career.

Shame not to see Will Beer in the Sussex team but there's enough youngsters on the Notts team to make up for it.

Ball looks an ok player so far 81-84 is decent pace for an 18 year old.

Just as I finish posting Hamilton Brown hits one straight down Mid-Off. Should have gone on from there to be honest had a brilliant start.

Not the role of a pinch hitter to carry his bat.

RHB is very talented, in all departments. He's been an important part of our strong OD side.

Smith is in, enjoy this, he doesn't do slow innings. 3 50s in the P40 at 2 runs a ball or more.

Still, no fifties in OD cricket says something. He should be going on and getting big scores rather than getting out in the late 20's, 30's and 40's.

It does, but people shouldn't expect the role of pinch hitters, to change from pinch hitter to hundred scorer, it doesn't happen and is unrealistic. His job is to score quick at the start of the innings, we then have good OD players like Joyce and Goodwin to get big hundreds. RHB has some excellent shots, but don't confuse his role in the side.

Smith bowling well here, great catch from Hodd to dismiss Hales.

4 wicket maiden :D
