Not eligible yet iirc.

Yea. He can play for SA until year end.

First time opening for Franklin and he gets a century. :D

This may be a good things for a James Franklin fan. But unforunately nothing else.

This is same Franklin that has looked totally out of his depth in international cricket batting in the top 6. So if he can come to English domestic cricket - open & score a century its a further worrying sign about the standard of bowling in English domestic cricket.

In the 2nd division...Franklin is a good all-rounder imo. Of course to expect the level of competitiveness in the 2nd tier of our domestic set-up to match that of International cricket, might be expecting a bit too much ;)

Great to see Tremlett back with a solid haul. A solid injury free season for him & a Ashes squad birth is very likely.

Anybody watching this Pro40 game between Kent and Notts which has been reduced to 10 overs? Key and Denly are just destroying Notts. 55/0 from 4 overs. These two are probably the best opening pair in English limited overs cricket.

Even nicer to see Meaker taking his maiden 5 wicket haul, and taking the best bowling figures at the oval for two years!

Ahh, that's a shame, they've had to go off for rain. Kent will be disappointed, they were 77/2 from 6 overs.

As predicted Harris has started this season very well getting his second 5 for this season. He could have an outside chance of getting into the Ashes squad if he can keep this type of performance up.

Also good to see Finn going so well. Its going to be hard to drop him and will probably see him atleast in the squad for the first test of the summer if not starting.

Harris has gotten himself in the Lions squad, alongside Taylor, Panesar, Woakes, Moeen Ali and Steve Davies. Surprising to see no place for Finn. Here's the full squad:

England Lions: Alastair Cook (captain, Essex), Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), Michael Carberry (Hampshire), Steven Davies (Surrey), Andrew Gale (Yorkshire), James Harris (Glamorgan), Steve Kirby (Gloucestershire), Monty Panesar (Sussex), Liam Plunkett (Durham), James Taylor (Leicestershire), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire).

Trott's List A performances so far this year have been ridiculous. 4 innings, 271 runs, 2 fifties, 1 century (though it's looking like he'll make that 2 centuries), average of 90.33 and a strike rate of 86 to go with it. Both he and Bell have gone really well domestically so far this year. Looking like we've got some real competition for places in the batting order now. Strauss in possession atm, but Lumb's looking good in the T20's, and then Trott, Davies and Bell are all going along very nicely. I actually feel Bell should be being talked about a bit more as an ODi player. He has a good ODi record, with an average of 35, and he's been excellent in the last 2 seasons of List A cricket. Should definitley be in contention.

We're looking toothless with the ball unfortunately. Pitch looks flat, but none of the bowlers really look like getting a wicket other than Herath to Trott. Can't see us winning this one.

I loved the argument on commentary about Herath's special ball, not quite sure who the comentators were, they were two of the older guys that aren't Bumble and Bob Willis. Must have been Paul Allot and someone else, but one was saying it was a genuine arm ball and the other was saying it was nothing like it. Quality commentary :p

Was Charles Colville and Paul Allott, and it was Colville claiming it was an arm ball. It clearly isn't an arm ball, but Allott over-reacted a tad I felt.

Cork's last over was dire. Bell put him away beautifully, and is looking a real class act in List A cricket this season, but it really was turgid stuff from Dominick Cork. I would say it'd be wise if he retired, but we've not actually got anyone better to turn to with Kabir, Dimi and Jones injured. Quite frustrating watching this from a Hampshire point of view, but still enjoying the strokeplay of Trott and Bell, class players.

King Pietersen added 5 Minutes and 12 Seconds later...

Bell gone. We're still in it :D Was hoping to see Bell keep going, as we're going to lose anyway, but it was a fine knock all the same. Looks in excellent form.

When does Gloucestershire plan to play David Payne in First Class matches. Surely they can't ignore how he has been doing in OD cricket. 13 wickets in 4 matches at an average of 7.92 and with a strike rate of 8.7.

This was his last match as well.

That was an incredible hundred for Hildreth against Sussex. I thought Sussex had it in the bag when I saw their total, like Pakistan yesterday.

Nah keep him far away from the ODI setup. Even with him averaging 35 in his ODI career, he never looked like a ODI player. He can't bat anywhere else excpet opening or @ 3 the worst. We have much better options in the country for those positions. So no need to look players like Bell or Cook for ODIs ever again.
