To be honest, it has been the summer for English cricket bowlers. The pitch rules have been tweaked so that no heavy roller can be used and that there has been a greener tinge to the pitches so the bowlers have been getting much more assistance.

It's good for the game though imo. 24 wickets on day 1 in the Derby v Gloucs match.

Good batting performance by Hughes. Scoring the only 50+ in that match and that being a 96* on a really difficult wicket.
Hopefully in the future he continues to score runs and hopefully he chooses the West Indies over England.

Worcestershire are going hell for leather at the moment. KP should have a good chance in the middle and Surrey will probably need him.

It's an awesome game! But The Oval, is possibly the best wicket in the country and Surrey have scored this sort of total once already in the season.

Shakib had him checked during both the Eng v Ban series.
