About missing Given, I still think Szcezny is easily good enough. He's making some great saves. He is in good form, but he still has skill when in average form.

While I do agree with you there, Arsenal will be in trouble if Szcezny gets injured.

De Gea is more skilled, but in terms of how settled he is in the premier league, and his current form, he's looking at a long time before he can play better than Szcezny. Both are young though so still a while to go. Walcott's goal on De Gea was just pathetic and his other blunders are insane as well.

Yeah Arsenal need Szcezny as Fabianski, Mannone and Almunia aren't good enough.

Well, if United have a back-up like Lindegaard, Chelsea have one like Turnbull, City have one like Taylor, then Fabianski is quite better than them. But yes, Arsenal need a player to help Wojiech.

And on the comparison topic, De Gea is better, but as you said, Wojiech has proved himself better than De Gea, as he played in a league of better quality than La Liga.

I think Hilario(-us) is worse than Turnbull TBH.

Yes, it was the same thing which I had posted. Hilario won't get any first team appearances, because Villas Boas is younger than him. :lol

Apart from his own goal, Song actually did well I think.

And Yakubu justifies his sale. A real poacher, I must say.

And Koscielny!:lol

Talk about 'plastic bag' fans! :lol

In other news, we're dreadful...

A fantastic game of football but all I can say is we were desperately DESPERATELY UNLUCKY to lose. Smalling's goal was offside and so was Nani, as he apparently moved from an offside to an onside position for his goal. With a little bit more luck today, we would probably have won the game or at least drew the game.

Liverpool were poor overall but I single out Martin Skrtel who just had no clue how to deal with Bale in the first half. He was also misplacing passes left and right and it just had a negative effect on everyone else. Midfield is also to blame for never closing down Modric and Parker. They were just passing the ball freely. I will just choose not to remember the last 3 goals as they came with Liverpool down 2 men but before that, 11v11, we were clearly outplayed.

Also, why play Carroll? We play sooooo much better without him. Although we never got far enough down the pitch to play long balls, Liverpool still could have used the extra man in midfield.
