Credit where it's absolutely due to Brendan - Sterling, Henderson and Flanagan wouldn't be where they are today were it not for him. It's scary when you realize Raheem is only 19. What a performance.

Also like it how Gerrard's proving me wrong playing significantly better in that deeper role now. Just hope we can go on a consistent run of winning games now...

Ye at this rate Henderson & Sterling cases to make the world cup squad is getting very strong. That deep role Gerrard is playing will be a very interesting option for the national team also.

What a brilliant game, but we seriously need to keep consistent for the next crucial games to knock Everton and Spurs out of our tail.
On another note, Ozil has been just one of them normal typical midfielder this season, but then again there are arguments of "he needs to get use to it" but surely he has had enough time. Sterling, who needs Konoplayanka or Salah when we got him and Coutinho, Cissoko and Kolo finally getting their act together as well. Just Aspas needs to up his game now.

Ibe, rated quiet high and seen some of his videos, done really well. He could play on the wings or as a striker. Same with Aspas. We have got the Plan B's but the players are either young or just below par to the expectations. Our defense has been falling through injuries though, and Kolo and Cissoko worry me sometimes.

Top 4 I think is sealed for Liverpool, especially if they get knocked out of the FA cup like I'm predicting for them to...

I genuinely believe Man Utd will go on a PSG-esque spending spree this summer. Reckon they will have to, in all honesty. Especially if they fail to finish top 4.

I do too.

Yeah sure, with our deadweight owners still around our necks. Yes I know they still spend money, but that is just getting us deeper into debt, and regardless of what they do they cannot match Chelsea or City's spending power.

I think you underestimate the spending power of United and too how much the brand of United means to the owners and the stock holders, you either spend big next summer or you watch Liverpool in the CL for the foreseeable future with you spending a few years out of the competition like Liverpool have. The gap between you two is already staggering, and the new market of players they'll be able to tap into next summer will only push the gap even further, ofc this is all in the view that Liverpool make top 4 this season.

true, brand wise liverpool are one club that man u need to keep and eye on. it would not take very long for people to come round to the idea that Liverpool are heavyweights again.

kinda like what's happened with Napoli, their improvement over the last few years has been greatly helped by the fact that people can buy into napoli being a big club.

the flipside of course is that man u's reputation will help them wield considerable clout even when they're performing poorly, but it will erode if they don't get back among the top 4 soon.

I am personally not a big fan of fa cup, I think only small teams should take part, it does no good to big teams what so ever, in fact it makes every scared of injury crisis. Carling cup can take a team to Europe so I find that cup more useful. #myopinion

By that same notion I could say that the Capital One Cup does no good to big teams and makes them scared of injuries, so only small teams should take part. The FA Cup also takes a team to Europe so it is just as useful, and far more prestigious.

In my opinion the cups are worse for smaller teams. They stretch their already small and poor squads, also distracting from the difficult task of fighting relegation. Also, spare a thought for teams in Leagues 1 and 2. They play 46 league games a season (by the end of April), as well as playing FA Cup and Capital One Cup games from round one. Add in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and the fact they have no money and I am surprised so many Premier League teams complain about burnout.

No one who truly understands English Football would say that about the FA Cup - and to say that the League Cup is more 'useful' is beyond laughable.

the fa cup is brilliant.

your opinion is so wrong that it's actually not even technically an opinion.

the notion that only "small teams" should play in the fa cup is so ridiculous that I don't really understand it.

How do you think Wigan got to play european football this season?

He's probably only seen one cup game ever, the Carling Cup game where Liverpool won to get into Europe. Probably why he calls it the Carling Cup and not the Capitol One Cup.

My opinion. :lol I ain't saying that I hate fa cup, my home town Cov won it once and I really enjoyed that, yes FA cup use to be great but I feel it has lost some of the fans over the years. FA cup's schedule should be better atleast.
