I never though of it any other way, until Hedger mentioned it this morning.
He wouldn't of posted it how he did, if he didn't mean to say we had to spend between 80 and 120 points in each phase.

It's definitely not common sense... especially if most of us didn't read it that way. There's no need to have limits on spending as I said before, because of the points system which is a marked improvement on the way it was before.

He said it as a guide, not a definitive statement.

I suck at English (the subject), so I didn't think to indepth about it.

Without a limit, Akshay and Riz (as well as maybe Bilal) would spend 200 on domestic players, so it is kind of needed.

That's why I made both auctions completely separate in the NZPL auction.
