The SG is filled with star players, some much better than Parnell, thus the reason he was not selected I guess.

Wayne Parnell is more talented than some other crappy bowlers. Though he is less experienced, he has shown what he can do in just a few matches.

In 11 ODIs, Parnell has taken 25 wickets with 2 5-wicket hauls.

Steyn is still pretty expensive in ODIs. That's why I didn't go for him. When you compare his ODI record to others, it's not as good. He's is very impressive in tests, but for an OD tournament I felt others were a better choice. Such as Kyle Mills.
