Technically you cant but you can compare them with regards to how much of an impact a player has on the team and the ability to do that extra bit, a match winner if you like. Zizou had it for sure.

Otherwise we will never be able to call Ronaldo the best player in the world, because he cant be compared to people who dont play in his position.
