I am so pleased, not just because Espana won, but because those negative and horrible Italians are out. They should all have their heads put inside toilet pots. It was like watching Greece of 2004 all over again.

And tonight was the perfect example of how fans can play twelfth man in a football match. I am so certain Di Natale's miss was dependant on the Spanish fans.

Although the Spanish have the most quality players amongst the remaining sides, the Germans have more than enough and Russians are the probably capable of playing the best team football. I know we thrashed them 4-1 in the first game, but the Russians have improved a massive deal since then and the return of Arshavin has injected a lot of venom in their attack.

Turkey, well I need to applaud their attitude and heart, but they are the weakest and need to keep on riding their luck if they need to win.

Thats nonsense. Italy were playing for penalties from the first minute. It was so negative that it makes Bolton and Chelsea: look like flair sides.

dont be so sure, spain beat russia 4-1 in the first game, but look back to the 1954 world cup mate, Hungary beat Germany 8-3 in the group stage and were the best team in the world by a distance, yet lost to germany in the final 3-2 after being 2-0 up after 8 mins, football is a funny old game

The stats will always be there. Before this game, we had a very poor record against the Italians, besides our horrible record in the knockout rounds of major competitions. Also 22nd June is one of the unluckiest days for Spain as well. And our penalty records arent very good. But then the lads defied all that and got through in the end. Not celebrating just yet but I'm glad for making it to the semis. Was the first target.
