This is what you get, when are a twaaaat!
Di Natale, this is exactly what you get.

His antics got what it deserved, rolling out of play and rolling back when the Spanish broke, to make the ref stop play. Little diving prick. I loved it when he missed, absolutely loved it.

Brilliant saves by Casillas.

Yes other sides are capable but if Spain are ever going to win anything then this will be as good a chance as they will ever have. If I was them I wouldn't be too bothered about going out though, if they win this I don't think they'll win the world cup, actually I don't think any European side will, well apart from ingurland because I might be slightly biased :D Well if the FA made me manager then we would because we wouldn't have played meaningless games this summer we'd have been in Africa adjusting to it.

To be fair to Di Natale, he wasnt the only one who dived tonight. Also to be fair to the Italians they were surprisingly a lot more sporting that usual. But the way they played today was so annoying. I've seen them do it before as well. Its a shame they are the world champions. I'd rather watch Steve Mclaren's England.

It's not true. If Football worked on the team on paper, we've got a better team than most. Not many sides could consider resting Lampard and still have an awesome midfield. I personally think we've got the best midfield in the world, with Gerrard, Joe Cole, Barry and Lampard, then with Bentley, Young, Beckham, Jenas and others as back-up. The defence is also incredibly solid with Cole, Brown/Richards, Ferdinand and Terry. We also have 2 world class strikers in Owen and Rooney. If Capello gets the tactics right then there's every chance that we can do well in the next world cup. We've been hampered in recent times by rubbish managers playing crap players (Downing for example) and using players in the wrong positions and being crap tactically. Now we've got a good manager we'll fulfill our potential.

England being good? :laugh

To be fair, I think we'd also beat Russia. We comfortably beat them at Wembley, and only lost in Russia, due to a penalty, and in bad conditions.

and injurys. Full strength England side capable of the semis in this if we get a good run imo, the problem is sorting out the attacking side of things, if England are scoring goals we're as good as anyone with a full strength side but we just can't seem to do it.

great win for the spanish after bad tactics from the italians...also i heard that wenger was among the people watching the match...now he might be there just to watch fab but also for some potential targets...*hint* VILLA *hint*

If Sureshot hadn't closed my 'Why Arsenal are better than Spurs' thread, I would have said:

'Tottenham signing Modric missed a crucial penalty for Croatia leading to them being dumped out by the Turks, letting himself, his team and his nation down while Francesc Fabregas coolly slotted the winning goal to take the Spaniards to the Euro 2008 semi-finals.'

Arsenal are better than Spurs.

I read in The Times today that England's problem is their players not being willing to learn, and the manager thinking he cannot teach new tactics to them because they are doing something different for their clubs most of the time. This is why Guus Hiddink is a brilliant manager, apparently. He commands respect from the players and he can teach them to play his way. This is proven by the fact that 6 of the 11 players who drew 0-0 with Slovakia in the last game before Hiddink took over also played in the team that beat the Netherlands on Saturday. If Fabio Capello can make the players play his way as well as command respect then there is nothing stopping England being successful.
