Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

A companion app would be a good additional thing, but I shouldn't be a replacement of or alternative

They key is using it to compliment the game, but also making it useful when you're not near your console, so it could contain any mini-game stuff like squad management, or even player-creation, or stuff like the team-management mode.

My suggestions for Bigants to improve new DBC 17 are:

IN BATTING:
(1)need more difficult in batting,(now legend difficult should be in pro)
(2)true 360 area shots and singles, and defend shots should go for four, all shots and stokes need in new game like real cricket without missing
(3)cap and helmet and NONE changing option should be in the game when batting
(4)walking shot needed
(5)forearm pads changing option when batting
(6)injury options should be in game when 2 or 3 times getting hurt by bowlers in 2 or 3 matchs then that player must miss some other matchs or tournment and GIVE other player chance
IN BOWLING:
(1)more swing in pace bowling and slightly decrease the metre length of good and perfect ball length, make it like YORKER metre,OVER PITCH Metre,LENGTH,GOOD LENGTH,SHOT LENGTH metre, and SHORT PITCH BALL
(2)need more spin and bounce in SPIN bowling, and speed of bowling must be diffierent, like 80 kms,87 kms,95 kms
(3)changing options rist, forehand bands when bowlers needed
(4)need more SLIP catchs, and behind catchs in new game and TOP edges in slow balls and caught and bowled in spin bowling
(5)diffierent types of bowlers actions in pace and spin bowling
(6)when spin bowling need options to bowl from edge of the creese and from near umpire
(7)injury options for bowlers should be in case of long spells with over speed countinuly in test matchs long spells in 2 or 3 matchs or in ODI 2 or 3 tournment long spells with over speed balls countinully should be make a bowler injury

Carreer:
(1)when playing from age 16 to 35 player should be change in apperrence and look, please make changing options in look, appearrence, bats, kits, helmets
(2)injury options for carreer players
Definitely there should be different types of bowlers actions in pace and spin bowling. specially famous bowlers should have their own signature moves like malinga is better with his own short height fast paced bowling action :) it will make game more real and exciting

A must feature that should be added is: [For co-op]

-Changing sides [both players] to play as home or away team.
-[Already stated] Simulation option.
-Separate field for the players playing co-op..As of now its the same whatever I set or whatever he sets. When my end is the time to bowl then it should change to the field I have set , not the other player's. [A must]

A companion app would be a good additional thing, but I shouldn't be a replacement of or alternative to my original suggestion. If i'm resuming a competition in the game I don't want to have to have another device to see the state of the whole competition before I resume the match.
Ahh for sure I was meaning for it to be an additional option to complement the game

really its nice to see a DBC 17 app for android like fifa do every year we can easily track our records we need whole dbc academy on app so can manage players transfer etc.

Yeah, I think having access to your career players current stats, milestones, maybe a mini-kit editor too? That one might be a bridge too far... but even just the ability to SEE the different kits maybe?

...also, as an aside +10 points to you for the Ghassan Massoud avatar, one of my favorite actors and I'm also a sucker for anything related to the great Salahuddin.

in dbc 14 we can see that during throw the ball on non strikers end umpire not move anywhere and run out and third umpire bug is also there and also game hang sometime on free hit we want to resolve all these problems in new DBC 17 .

I had a very torrid time with batting in DBC 14. I could never be quick enough to judge whether to be on front foot/Back foot. That resulted in premeditation of footwork. This aspect greatly reduced the pleasure of playing as a batsman. I don't know if this is being looked into but I would love to be able to actually judge the length of the ball to decide on my stride rather than premeditating every shot. I absolutely don't want a pitch marker. That would be a regression but I am sure Bigant can work out a solution for a lot of other players like me out there.

I think the last game was very much "for the fans". It's the single biggest challenge BA have to make it so that a wider audience can enjoy it IMO, and that has to start with actually teaching people what they are supposed to be doing.
For me, the pitch marker thing was a big statement that this was something very different, but it made the game totally inaccessible - they removed it but failed to replace it with an adequate system to enable players to judge bowling properly. It made it more realistic and authentic feeling, but just fell down the "right for the sport, wrong for the game" trap for me (and a lot of opinions I read in various places).

1. Different bowling actions
2. More number of stadiums
3. Different batsman physique( i mean , a tailender batsman should look and play like less professionaL IN BATTING

There should be stadium creator, more access to modding and very good gameplay.

Would like see a footwork modifier: this could be assigned to the Left trigger.

Holding left trigger down allows the player to walk around and out of the crease. Holding it down allows you to walk even when the ball is coming down the pitch, this would allow u to premeditate. e.g. fine leg is up in the circle u know if u get bat on ball it will go for 4 and the bowler is bowling full. This would allow you to walk across simultaneously as the ball coming down and flick it over fine leg. Good thing is your able to play shots on the move rather then always having to play from a stationary position.

When u let go of left trigger the player is stationary in that position and you are able to pivot, e.g press forward, back and across etc which is currently in the game. E.g. hold down LT to walk across stumps, let go . step back and work onto leg side.

double pumping left trigger enables the batsmen to charge the bowler.

This way you can create your own shots without having to rely on dilscoop, reverse sweep etc to play unorthodox shots and all footwork is assigned to one button rather then having to use 2 buttons to charge

I think you touched upon a different shortcoming of the game and it's not just related to bowling. The game overall does a poor job of walking a player through various aspects of the game. I can't see a casual gamer who wants to get into cricket getting much out of the game. As an example I still don't know what various skills & attributes do or don't do. I still have no idea what the difference between "Aerobic Fitness" and "Anaerobic Fitness" or how does "Consistency" affect the gameplay. The lack of tutorials, walking through the basics of the game and literally no explanation of skills & attributes needs to be addressed in DBC 17. Also, lack of feedback is another limitation of DBC14. Currently I cream two shots through the off-side and the third one is edged behind but I have no idea what I did wrong. Was it the bad timing (too early or late)? Was it the incorrect footwork? Was it the wrong shot? I've no idea. Maybe an optional feedback mechanism where the game shows you the timing meter and gives feedback on footwork & shot selection would be good. Right now I'm left exasperated not knowing what I did wrong and how I can improve.

The point @sami ullah khan raised is different, i.e. even if the first limitation is addressed the reflexes required to select the appropriate footwork selection is beyond plenty of folks. I'm in the same boat as @sami ullah khan as I can't determine the length of the delivery fast enough for me to decide which foot should I play the shot on and this is true for nearly all sort of bowlers, including medium pacers. This has left me pre-meditate footwork and I end up playing everything off the front foot, which does take away some of the enjoyment from the game. It would be nice if Big Ant can devise a mechanism where at least the length of the delivery is shown to the user a little bit earlier. As an example, there could be a setting in there (probably a slider) called "Reflex" and when it's at 100%, the game is as it is in DBC 14. If the slider is at 50%, the users get the length indication 500msec before the bowler delivers the delivery by probably making the green, yellow or red circle appear around the ball when the ball is still in the bowler's hand. And if the slider is at 0%, the length indicator is displayed a full second before the delivery is bowled. This would help users customize the game as to how they deem fit. Big Ant may not use the same mechanism and probably come up with s different implementation but it would be good to have a feature where users can see the length of the delivery a tad earlier and select the footwork appropriately. Maybe this feature may not work for a multi-user game but for a single user game against AI, this could work as the determination of the type of delivery AI is about to bowl can be determined a little earlier in the bowling process, allowing enough time to display the length depending on the slider setting.

Looping in @MattW as this is is one concern (pre-meditation of footwork) I've heard quite often and that too from the folks who are into cricket gaming for some time.
