Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

I was looking at the players in the academy. There's a lot of different national leagues which might be meaning you will be able to play a career in more countries.

On a slightly different note how deeply has anyone looked into on disk player stats? From what I can see there are ratings from high 80s to low 40s which is a huge difference. The way I'm thinking is it's maybe mostly 2nd XI players in the 40/50s, which would be excellent for career.

I am surprised that some world class players in the roster are only rated high 70s to low 80s. It would be nice if BA could give us more feedback on how the ratings function this time.

i've just been out LBW to an AI spinner where I was hit - on the crease - 6 inches above the pad on the thigh but ball was on it's way down so i was out. that has absolutely no business in the game and makes a mockery of the entire physics system. i hope it's removed from DBC17.

Same with Medium bowlers.

I'd say for major cricketing countries, most of the test team will probably be in the high 70s for their rating, with higher numbers for the more exceptional players, or those who are top picks in franchise cricket - where you'd get numbers in the high 80s or low 90s.

For that second tier of cricketing countries, most players are probably around the mid-60s, which would be on par with someone who would be in a first class team but not quite able to break into a major test side.

Then as you get to things like having a weaker player on a weaker team in a lower division of a domestic competition, or emerging cricket countries, you're going to get your 40s and 50s.

Thanks Matt that's makes sense.

@MattW by franchise cricket I'm assuming you mean IPL or BBL? Does this mean that there is a higher ability for someone's marketability than their ability per se. What I mean is that would Alistair Cook be a better player if he was a hit and giggle or pajama cricketer rather than a test player. Is this indicative of a money element this time round.

Just suggesting that a really good T20 specialist and a top class Test cricketer are two examples of people to rate higher. Though for short form specialists you'd probably assign them a more aggressive mentally and put more points into strength and other related abilities.

A different path to the same overall rating, not that one would be better.

As we are looking forward to DBC 17 i like Big ant to have a nice look at the realism of the game.
Honestly im a big big fan of DBC 14.But i have to say DBC 14 was lacking on the realstic gameplay sector. What i like to see on DBC 17 is
-Needs a good Statistic system:Where the commentators critisizes things like stats at an individual ground or against a specific team,or against a specific bowling type
-Needs more atmosphere on the ground:Where opposite players tempt you or sledges.....
-We can even have a change of bat or gloves if necessary while batting
- Player Career needs to be more realistic,Which means you starts as a player with no sponsership, then as you go on gets a good sponser, etc.
-Career Players needs to have a ability to not participate in games
-Needs reputation levels
-Crowd has to be more supported to their home teams
-The more reputed a player the better crowd reaction for him
-Needs a better AI bowling,Where the bowler should ball a slow ball yorker to a new batsmen or wide yorkers on death overs
-Hope you guys will support my thread.......Post your Suggestions and support.....Welcome

Good to see so many suggestions. I dont have any suggestions to make. I will play and enjoy and be happy with whatever DBC17 turn out to be. I have full faith in Ross & his team. Buckled up....

It was quite funny though.
I review the decision confidently only to find the ball dipping to hit the stumps.
And I'll be like, damn cheating AI.

I'd like bowlers to be able to see what deliveries they can bowl? I know in practice mode it shows all the names of the deliveries a spinner and quicks can bowl but in a real match I forget what these all are (as there is one for every direction) so it can be confusing

outswing, seam, inswing, cross seam, offcutter, legcutter, slower one

I have no idea about spin bowling

Auto-save done after every innings if not few overs. Just played a test match on DBC14 and bowled out Australia and while clicking on menu the game crashed. It did not crash because of DBC14 issues but because of the hack but an Auto Save would have been life saver.
