Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

"Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket"

Kinect support. :)

How about the chance of being dropped in the deep? I have NEVER been dropped in the outfield in any match type.

Also to the people moaning at others for requesting things like batting timers or pitch markers and things, that's what the option of 'on' and 'off' were made for.
I can completely agree with people who want to enjoy a game at there own pace and not be left with a headache afterwards.
At least if we had the option everyone would be happy. I always like to play games at a level that's comfortable for me as a gamer. My biggest problem with the game is you are told what level you have to start career at. I completely understand that big ant wanted to make this game very challenging, but there are people that might want to play a few overs of cricket after a busy day without wanting to throw the pad at the tv because you've been caught ONCE AGAIN edging to the keeper off a spinner!!!

There's a few things I'd like to see expanded on the game. Most revolve around the captaincy, as that's the one time during the game I've been extremely disappointed.

Firstly I would like to see the Captain be in control of choosing when to use/change bowlers during a match, as this would occur IRL.

I would like to see the captain be able to possibly influence/choose the line up for games in future editions.

This leads me to a more general point, where I would like to see dynamic line-ups from teams with influences of fatigue/injury etc on players. This is difficult I know but would be the natural step for a sports career mode game.

My final main suggestion is the potential for being able to talk to your batting partner while at the crease. I say this because it is very aggravating when you are the last surviving skilled batsmen, but tail enders still come to the crease and start trying to slog top bowlers! It doesn't have to be brilliant, but maybe just a few set options such as telling them to just stay in, to attack or to try and keep you on strike, for example.

Other than that I can only think of the minor fixes such as the strange stumpings, lazy ending of runs, alternate control for spin and making career seam bowling more difficult! etc.

Play it towards point and not gully and play late and on balls that are not very wide of off stump but on middle and just outside off stump.

Trust me I was able to hit 3 boundaries in a row same shot and different balls against spinner with my career player who dont have a lot of off side play abilities but all of them were played on front foot and his front foot is strong.

I am in 2nd year of my career.

You're square cutting a spinner front foot off middle stump?

Dude, something is badly wrong if that is working out for you. That's not a high-percentage shot - at least, when I was playing and bowling right arm off breaks, I'd have been pretty certain to remove a batsman who showed me he was willing to try that.

But it is working very fine I am able to play it quite often to spinner when ever he gives me any width middle or off and I only play frontfoot as I find it extremely difficult play back and front foot on merit.

okay, have said it before, will say it again - dreams are free :) all my wishes are geared towards the SP career:

1. start at Div 1 or Div 2
2. you have to 'earn' our way into your teams' 4 day, 1 day or 20/20 teams as you would IRL
2. promotions = Div2 - Div 1 - State - County - IPL - National - Rest of World, etc
3. Teams are changed for County/One Day/T20 and again you have to 'earn' your way into those teams...or you are essentially a specialist (eg. Cowan, Bailey)
4. You can get sponsorships ala NBA2K
5. Expanded career mode eg. you can use your career player in the nets, training matches, etc or you can even drop down to domestic/grade cricket for practice
6. There is a 'social network/media' inclusion so that rather than the 'Getting attention' stuff, you see newspaper/internet articles saying 'xxx should play for Australia, etc' or vice versa. Helps to add that bit of 'reality' to it.

I wasn't doubting you, man.

I was suggesting that it's a significant issue from a simulation perspective if this approach is working for you :)

Middle and off stump is the opposite of width, incidentally. Width would be outside off stump ...

*edit* Something else I'd like added - a trophy/achievement for bad umpiring decisions. Something to take the sting off. I didn't hit that one, dammit!

Four major things needs to be included in next iteration of BigAnt Cricket:
1.Numerous batting and bowling styles
2.Stadium creation mode or customization to have many stadiums
3.Renown commentators inclusion
4.Relegation and promotion divisions matches with 2 or 3 tiers etc

Outside the cut shot, there are so many shots to try with. If something is not happening, best way to be happy is to create one.

Spin is totally playable & fun to rotate your bat in direction you think at that time after pitching. Spin & medium pace - both are fun!

I have made over 4000 first class runs, same in t20 and list a, but this playing late to spinners, Im going to try it, but im already feeling nervous about this

In first class cricket, the reverse sweep to the spinners is easy, and not a problem

as soon as you step up to international level, spinners with their drift, tur and variance of speed is bloody impossibly

so when you guys play late, please give me an excat example, so when playing a late cut to the spinner, do you activate the shot literally when the ball is at your bat, or when it just bounces, what?

please be as elaborate as possible when explaing, also please let me know if its at international level

the reason i ask is i was flying, until i made it to the aussie t20 and ODI squads, every second team opens with a spinner, hence, my runs are dropping, I am amazed i am still getting selected after 20 ODI's and 25 T20I's due to spinners getting me out every bloody time because reverse sweep simply dont work anymore!!

I would love to see more in depth career mode.

1) Getting dropped from playing 11 or change in batting position (as per performance).

2) Form meter something that increase as you perform constantly and decreases if you fail again and again. Better form you got your timing window or bowling accuracy swing and seam movement is there so you can perform better and is a bigger asset for your side.

3) Player temp transfer or loaning , so if you start your career with a 1st class team and you are not performing or not a big asset to them they can lend you to smaller clubs (2nd division or district cricket) while playing it you can earn career points and improve your player so it is easier to perform on bigger level.

4) Training sessions which help you gain specific points for e.g. I dont play on backfoot so my backfoot ratting is still very low (2nd year of career) and I cannot afford it to improve now by playing in match situation.

That is an excellent idea. Would really start to reward consistency.

lotta statistics for a career player (last 5 inns scores, frequent mode of dismissal, frequent mode of taking wickets, stock ball details) and injury scenarios during the game in the career mode for AI batsman (hamstring or leg injuries while diving) (which makes diving more careful) and the career player given more responsiblity in running and hogging the strike.. Just a suggestion :wave
