3rd Quarter

Welcome back as we talk through the 3rd quarter, and amazingly enough, the Tigers are still in the game, they dominated the third quarter, with the Dockers now only leading by 13 points. The Dockers, really had a shocking quarter, scoring 1 goal and 6 points, the Dockers will look to put on their kicking boots for the 4th quarter, the 'Pav' has 7 goals going into the 4th quarter and 19 disposals, he is having a blinder of a match today. So was Bradley for the Dockers, getting 24 disposals so far for the Dockers.Chris Newman increased his dominance of the match, having 34 touches going into the 4th quarter and a major, proving why he is the captain of the club. Ben Cousins was dominating the 3rd quarter as well, getting 10 posessions and bringing his total to a solid 24 disposals. Matthew Richardson is also back to his usual form, kicking 3 goals in a quarter, proving why he was third in last year`s Brownlow Medal. New coach Nathan Buckley will be very nervous going into the first quarter as he will be looking to kick off his career to a good stuff and will be hoping Richmond continue their dominance of the 2nd half. Well thats the siren, lets head off to Dennis Commeti and Bruce McAvaney for the final quarter off the match.

4th Quarter

Well guys, the Fremantle Dockers have come out 9 point winners at today`s match between Richmond and the Dockers at the MCG. Now, the Dockers completely dominated the 1st half whilst the Tigers dominated the 2nd half, but not enough, with Fremantle sneaking home.Pav scored 2 goals this quarter, bring his total goal amount to a whopping 9. If he continues this form, you could be setting your eyes to a Coleman Medalist. Newman had an absolute blinder, having 41 touches for the game, a great 4-quarter performance by the captain, which awarded him the Man-of-the-Match prize for todays match. Benny Cousins had a very good comeback match, after getting suspended for a year for drug usage, he achieved a very good 32 disposals so well done to him and lets hope that he doesnt waste this chance again. So the Richmond Tigers have been eliminated from the NAB Cup whilst the Fremantle Dockers proceed to the next week of the NAB Cup. So its goodbye from us and have a great weekend.

Richmond:$2.00
Carlton:$1.70

It is the AFL 2009 Season Opener andRichmond will look to start their 2009 AFL Premiership campaign to a good start, and that will mean beating a very good side in Carlton. But there has been talk about these two very special players for the whole year. Ben Cousins and Chris Judd will be facing each other for the very first time this weekend. A very big crowd is expected to show up in this match at the MCG just to watch these two very talented players play against each other. They were once teammates but they are now enemies. This is also a special weekend for a former star, Nathan Buckley, who will be leading the Tigers for his senior coaching debut match. Surprisingly, the Tigers will be playing young Tyrone Vickery, despite his poor performance against Fremantle in the NAB Cup. ' You`ve gotta give every a kid a chance, and well today`s Tyrone`s lucky day I guess,' said Nathan Buckley when we talked to him down at Punt Rd. Chris Newman will have a big impact in the backline if he were to continue his pre-season form (grabbing 43 posessions against Fremantle) whilst big old Richo will be one of the Tiger`s targets to kick to inside 50. And as for Carlton, Chris Judd the star captain from West Coast will be hoping to have a good start to his season, and he will have a big impact in the game due to his ability to get many posessions under his belt, but its not about quantity, but its about quality, so Judd will be looking to have a very good efficient disposal rating. And as for their forward line, the 'Fev' will be looking to kick a bag of goals to start off his 'Fevolution' for this season. That is it from us and we`ll hope to see you at the 2009 AFL Season Opener at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, while the Richmond Tigers play the Carlton Football Club.

How dare youu copy my AFL website idea shame on you!

:pNah just joking mate, I reckon Fev will kick 10;)
