I tried FIFA on a mate's PC, it was absolutely horrific... Haven't seen much worse recently, even worse than the console version.
Which version did you try? Of course, you're entitled to your opinion, but for me Fifa 11 PC is the opposite to 'horrific'.
You should've used an Xbox 360 pad. I also find it unplayable with the keyboard, or a substandard PC pad.
Yeah. But then, with an Xbox controller, I don't see how it's that different to the Xbox version of the game.
I hate the Xbox controller as well, one of the main reasons I don't have an Xbox.
Regardless, the gameplay just isn't there yet. Maybe FIFA 12 can step it up, but until then, it looks like this game is more for the casual audience, not hardcore football fans.
Apparently, the PC version of Fifa 11 was a Fifa 10 console port - and having played Fifa 10 console a bit, I agree with that. Fifa 11 on console feels 'sharper' somehow - there are subtle differences between console and PC. This year, Fifa 12 could finally be the same on all three platforms.
What did you use to play the game on PC then? Fair enough not liking the Xbox pad - it isn't for everyone and the stick layout is a bit strange, granted.
I used the keyboard controls. They were so bad that I stopped after a game. I barely understood how to use the controls.
Between FIFA 11 and FIFA 10, I don't see any differences whatsoever other than the be a goalkeeper, which happens to be incredibly fun.
I'm not trying to hate on FIFA, but I'm sick of this sell millions of units when it is far from the optimum football sim, it could get better but it isn't moving forward in leaps and bounds. It's fun now and then, but as the definitive football game that you spend months playing, I don't think so. Plus the point of bringing this up is to show the fact that PC vs console FIFA isn't very different. Other people will prefer PC, but it dosen't make much of a difference in the end.
you think so not the world BTW is FIFA 12 PC features are announced...
FIFA games always looks promising before the release when they announce tons of new features.
Getting a game which is on par with consoles would be great. Its about time EA stops treating PC gamers like second class citizens. Thats why i love it whenever a PC exclusive game releases (Read: Witcher 2)
