Started off unemployed with the Spanish, Italian and English leagues running. Didn't really play the demo but this game is so much quicker than 09 its unbelievable, so much better.

Haven't got a job yet but still hoping.

Is FM10 worth getting? I've got FM08 at the moment and with the db's it still does the job (for now) so do I rely on updates for 08 or get 09/10?

Don't get 09, it's not worth the money with 10 out now. Have you tried the 10 demo? If not I suggest you do and make up your own mind. But if you asked me then I would say yes, get 10.

Got it on Sunday and I'm loving it. Much quicker than 09 and easier to get into. Managing Utd and I've got my first competitive game coming up. It's the Charity Shield vs Chelsea. Unfortunately I can't go with my strongest team because a couple of guys aren't fully fit yet. I couldn't believe how much money I got to spend. ?70million! I've hardly spent it though.

Signings:

Stevan Jovetic - ?15.25million
Rafael Van der Vaart - ?7.5million
Ruud van Nistelrooy - ?2.2million

I needed another winger because I couldn't rely on Valencia and Nani, and Giggs isn't fit enough to play week in week out. Jovetic fit the bill perfectly. His crossing is very good, and so is his finishing so I've got him cutting inside so he can have a few shots too. He's also very young. Van der Vaart was a bargain and I thought it would strengthen my squad further. Anderson isn't ready yet and the rest of the guys aren't attacking minded enough. I play Scholes as the playmaker as well but he's also too old to play week in week out. Van Nistelrooy will be the perfect back up for Rooney, Berbatov and Owen. He was basically free and is still a quality player.

My team is something along these lines:

-O'Shea/Neville/Rafael--Vidic--Ferdinand--Evra
-Valencia/Nani--van der Vaart/Scholes--Fletcher/Carrick/Scholes--Jovetic/Giggs

It really depends on who I'm playing and what style of football though.

On 09, I am now the manager of Hartlepool after jumping ship from Burton, we are about 5 points above safety with about 20 games left. Just signed a Spanish striker from Swansea, which has put me about 1.5k per week over my budget, but oh well, if we stay up, who cares? Burton were leaking big money due to the drop, about ?50k per month!

After a whole year without getting a job from my attempt at starting as unemployed I gave up.

I've started a game as Padova, an Italian Serie B team. Media prediction is a 17th position finish but I want to be atleast higher than 12th after a few decent signings on the free

Won all my pre-season matches conceading only the once. Won in the League Cup Qually Rnd 2 and 3. First league game of the season was a fine 2-1 away win over Piacenza aswell so a good start.

I am loving this game. My Arsenal save is going brilliantly. We're joint top on points with United top on goal difference. I'm top of my CL group which includes Real Madrid, Dinamo Kiev and Zurich. You can go so much more in-depth with the tactics before games than you could with FM 08. I managed to work out how to beat Spurs brilliantly. I a made sure Crouch and Modric were heavily marked, tackled hard and closed down as soon as they got the ball. I then replaced the more attack midfield option in Van Der Vaart with a holding midfielder in Alex Song, and it paid off brilliantly. Eduardo got a brace and although Vermaelan got sent off after 47 minutes we held on for a 2-1 win. Loved it.

Got the game today. Started a game unemployed loading up all leagues from England, Spain, Italy, Scotland, France and Germany. Just offered every job available and got Chester. We start the season on -25 points after the club went into administration last season. The finances are woeful as you would expect. This one will certainly be a difficult challenge.

15 games in with Padova now currently placed 15th after no win in 5. This poor run has seen us slip from 7th rather dissapointing after such a good start ,saying that though this league is very close a couple of wins and I'd be right back up there.

My club is also in the process of being sold and after a director failed in his takeover bid another consortium has come forward but are promising to install a new manager if they are successful, bad times.

Now I've a proper play through and then gone back to 09 the difference is quite evident. Much better game its significantly faster, the tactic creator is great as is the new "role" system, the 3d graphics are alot smoother and the touchline shouting system is great, great fun.

Thank you ebay . Bought FM09 for ?6.19 before! I didn't have the money for 2010 but just over ?6 is quite good I reckon.
