FOOTBALL Football Manager Discussion

Holy cow! They actually placed a transfer embargo on Chelsea in FM10. Talk about realistic gameplay. Anyway, Luckily I spend a lot (Liedson, Nani [Loan], Maxi Rodriguez, Hulk and Moutinho) during the first and only transfer window I have until somewhere during 2010 when the ban is lifted.

Should've read the forums and stuff aye' before managing Chelsea :p Oh well, I'm still winning and no serious injuries have come up (Except Essien, who is out for 5 months).

I need your help guys. I bought FM 2010 on New Years Eve and it was running a bit slow so I decided to un-install some stuff from my computer. I got rid of lots of old games that I never play anymore including FM 2007, FM 2008, FM 2009 and the FM 2009 demo. And since then the game comes up with an error message. I tried un-installing and re-installing, but it just does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated guys.

Btw I have the Arsenal edition, which is basically the same but has a different cover, menu and the real Arsenal kit, logo and player pictures.

Download CCleaner, and do a registry scan (and delete the hundreds of subsequent crap that comes up) after you've uninstalled it. Then install it again. If that doesn't work, if you click on that click here link on that error report, then take a screenshot of what it contains.

It was a corrupted save file? you could've told us it crashed whenever you tried to load it ;)

It wasn't when I tried to load it. It was when the game started. I think it somehow was involved with FM 2009. Also guys, where do I put the team and league logos in FM 2010.

Dean Hoyle, the Huddersfield living legend, has turned against me in virtual form. What a madman, stepping in and accepting an offer for my best striker. This just ruined everything.

Hoping to get back into FM10 thanks to Matt's discovery of the Tier 10 download. Started a game as manager of Clevedon Town, the place where my Dad lives. Going to be difficult, especially adjusting to the fact that all the players are shocking. Managing the finances may prove difficult as well, but the club are in fairly good shape. Targeting promotion in two to three seasons. Will post an update once I get into the actual season, only played a couple of friendlies so far (1-1 draw with Newton and 2-0 loss to Ashton Utd).

Well, Treva, it was actually me who told Matt about it, but we won't be picky will we? :)

Tier 10 is quite fun actually. My team, White Ensign, was full of rubbish players as well - 1 was the most common attribute by far, and it is interesting how all of my players are on amateur contracts - so I can't pay anyone money, or give them wages at all! Kind of makes things easier in a sense though.

Good to hear you are having fun, Trev.. and if you want, there are plenty of other leagues and countries - I was managing the Vanuatu national team whilst playing a team in the Vanuatu league and I also took control of a team in the San Marino domestic league.

If you are interested in playing in a strange league or managing a previously un-manageable country just ask me and I can find one for you. :)

Yeah, try win as many cup games as possible. You get 500 pounds for wins in cups IIRC. Or that might be when you bundle out.

I'm playing a bit of 08 Liverpool again - but not for long. I had TONS of money, so I spent it on the likes of Buffon, Silva, Aguero, Defoe and then some back ups just to see how good a team I could build. We are top of league, or I think 1 point behind United now but my finances are SCREWED. I did too many offers where I pay money in months :laugh

Oh well, got a gun QUB save. They start in the lowest Northern Ireland Divison. Blake got them to the Premier League and Champions League qualifiers in just a few seasons. I got promoted in my first season and currently 4th after 4 games in First Division.

any one know how I can play FM20 without steam online? Internet has been cut out but I wanna play FM :/
