Three FREAKING TOUGH games! :mad

OH FFS! Still had that two point lead over Arsenal going into the game at the Emirates after both of us won one and drew the other prior to the game.

But my players fried chickened out on that day. Got completely turned over and lost 6-1! Not to mention, I was already 5-0 down at HT!!! :mad:facepalm

The final league table:

That 6-1 defeat obviously put paid to our title challenge. Having said that, I did drop silly points during the season like draws against Stoke at home(only points dropped at home), Burnley and suffering a silly defeat against Bolton! :facepalm

Overall, it was good season. Guided them into Champions League which they didn't qualify in the previous season due to their mid-table finish and finished higher than what the media predicted. That said, don't think I'm gonna stay with City. Too nonsense for my liking! :lol

And oh, that is Arsenal's third consecutive league title!

Unlucky Jason, looks like you imploded at the end of the season. :p

My Newcastle side has really turned things around. Unbeaten in 11 league games and wins against Chelsea and City. Currently 7th at the beginning of January. Now I have the task of keeping my best players as everyone seems to want Coloccini and Cabaye.

I'm actually very good at keeping my players. Although, I find it very hard to get rid of players unless other teams make a bid before I transfer list them :p

Yeah. That implosion came at a wrong time! :facepalm And not to mention, that 6-1 defeat is my heaviest in the game but at least it's with Man City and not Chelsea. :p

Now, trying to see if there's any nice job in Italy to take up in this save. Otherwise, I might just see what comes up.

Had a solid start to the season in the Super League, currently sitting in second place after 6 games - I find it very surprising that the previous manager managed to get this team relegated. I haven't made that many new big transfers apart from a couple defenders, a Chinese defensive midfielder who isn't that great anyway and a central midfielder, although he's more than twice our next best central midfielder (he has 4.5 stars, next best 2 stars) although he's only managed one goal and 3 assists in 6 league games.

Just won my last game 5-1 with a stunning debut from our 17 year old right winger (birthday 10 days ago) as he came on at half-time when we were 2-1 up as he set up Ramirez for two goals in the 64th and 67th minute before scoring himself in the 80th minute as we won 5-1. 2 assists, 1 goal and a rating of 8.3 off the bench isn't bad for a 17 year old on debut :p

Xing Shaobo, our very promising attacking midfielder who has played mostly on the left wing has also had a solid start to his career, playing in all 6 games (4 starts, 2 off bench) with 1 goal and 2 assists and an average rating of 7.10.

He doesn't actually look any good :p He's quick though and has great potential.

And also qualified from our Champions League group. Ulsan finished top with 14 points, followed by us on 11 points while Hiroshima finished on 8 points and Binh Duong lost all their games. We won 3 games, twice against the Vietnamese side and home to Hiroshima while we drew Hiroshima away from home and managed a 1-1 draw at home to Ulsan.

We will be playing our Chinese rivals, Beijing in the second round after they finished top of Group H, which I'm actually pretty happy with the draw. Shandong finished bottom of their group, with Adelaide finishing top. The other Chinese side in the tournament, Guangzhou, finished second in their group as well, in a pretty easy group as they finished tied on 13 points with Seongnam while Okayama finished third with 5 points and Melbourne Victory finished bottom on 2.

Hopefully I can go some way in this tournament.

Just had a game where I was completely dominated 60%-40%, had only 4 shots of only two of which were on target compared to their 20 efforts yet still managed to bag two late goals to nab a draw.

Take that Colwyn Bay. Take that.

I'm good at shutting the FA up :p

Managed to criticise the referee twice for two controversial decisions in consecutive matches (disallowed goal when my player was clearly onside - behind the player who crossed the ball) and a controversial penalty given against us, which ended up costing us all 3 points, as we drew 2-2 against the last placed team.

Just started a 'career' type game - my favourite sort. Started unemployed and got taken on at Woking towards the end of October with them sitting 18th in the Blue Square South. Apparently they finished just outside the playoffs last season, and were expected to follow that up by winning the league this season.

Signed a young striker, on the advice of my scout, who'd just been released from Barnsley and he's an absolute machine! He's scored 24 in 26 and has been the sole reason behind me propelling up the table. I'm now joint 4th, 10 points off top with 7 games to play. Given where I was when I took over, the playoffs would be a huge success and one I'd take. I'm already being linked with jobs in the Blue Square Prem, though, and I'm after a career afterall, so not sure how long I'll resist.

In case you're interested in my FM11 career, then here's what I've done so far.

I've also managed Georgia and New Zealand, winning the Oceania Cup with NZ.

That there is a proper nice career. I'd post mine up but I've been limited, what with work, to only ever getting a couple of hours in now and again. Only a season and a half in.

First season with Worcester we finished a credible 10th after Media expectations of 11th. So far this season, 28 games in, we're top by a point but with a game in hand. Currently on a 5 match winning streak in the league which has catapulted me up the rankings despite that its still a very close league at the moment. I'm still just looking to get into the play offs from here rather than firmly going for the title as things stand.

Well played Treva. But doesn't going from a championship team that's been promoted 2 seasons on the trot to Finland seem a bit of a step down?

Update on my Newcastle save - everything has completely turned around for me. I went on a 16 game unbeaten run that was painfully ended by Man Utd.

- I'm 6th in the League with 2 games in hand and fighting for 3rd
- I won the League Cup but I had a pretty easy route with Burnley in the final
- I'm in the semi finals of the FA Cup (having beaten Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Stoke

I've played a lot of games and the squad is really being pushed to the edge. I had to play 4 FA Cup games in 5 matches due to replays and it's messed up my league fixtures as well.

I signed a Ivorian striker called Wilfried for 2.2m in Jan and Darron Gibson for 1.5m. Wilfried is either brilliant or terrible and tends to score in patches. Gibson's pretty good for rotation purposes as my squad is having to play a lot of games. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it going til the end of the season but I'm not feeling very optimistic.

I've never heard of him before. My scout recommended him and he just seemed like a perfect poacher.
