FOOTBALL Football Manager Discussion

What is your coach's judgement ability? :p

Just had a 15 year old academy youth player score 4 on his d?but and finish with a 9.9 match rating. Worcester first season in the Blue Square North.

Not too bad a start...

----------

Man of the match in his second as well scoring in a draw against Harrogate. Could be quite the play this lad, coaches tipping him to reach a good league two player status.

I'd say look at his stats and you'll see but I didn't post them :p But yeah, he's 15 and already has 11 finishing and 12 pace which is good for this division anyway. But my coach is 12 JCA and 11 JPA, well my assistant is 10 and 9 but both give the same feedback on the player.

Well I finished first and got to the semi final of the South African FA Cup before scoring an own goal in extra time to lose 1-0. With nothing to spend and 700k in the red, I decided it was time to move on and took up a job in China, with Hangzhou in the Chinese National First Division after they were relegated last season and are now in 6th after 14 games. Have a strong attacking side but lack defensively. Wasn't able to do much in the 4 days of transfer window I had but managed to get in a very good overseas left fullback and a Chinese defensive midfielder (can also play right back). Don't like foreigner rules though :p Can't even play Adam Griffiths cause I can only play 5 foreigners and pretty much my whole attack are foreigners.

Career Overview: (Always like keeping one :p) - Also managed at Saudi Arabia U23 for about a month before resigning :p

Well I totally did not expect this first game away from home with a completely unprepared tactic for the team. And possession was still only 50%.

And the team was above us on the ladder before the match as well. Now we're in 3rd and only a point behind 1st and 2nd :p

Decided to quit the England job and ended up taking over Man City. Rafa quits his post at City and replaces me as the new England manager. :lol

And I have to say, Man City are just so pathetic that even in the game, they have to purchase so many players and most of them are pretty average! I then have to go and do a "yard sale" to clear all the unwanted players! :facepalm

They finished in mid-table in the previous season and that means I can just concentrate on domestic games this season. Played 3 games so far and got 2 wins and 1 draw. In third at the moment, two points behind Arsenal and Chelsea who are both on 9 points.

Well got two outstanding prospects. Unfortunately they both play in the same position.

This guy has 1.5 star CA, 5 star PA (pretty much leading top division)

Surprised that this guy was the same CA as the guy above (1.5 star) with those skills as looking at the comparison, Yi is better in everything except attacking. Only 4.5 star PA though.

This guy is another good prospect, especially with his physical skills. Need to get that finishing up though. 4 star PA.

And this season has been way too easy. Since taking over, I've won 9/11 games while drawing the other two, although still only 2 points in front of Baxy with 5 games remaining, who are also unbeaten in their last 10 games. They just won't give up. 3 wins from our last 5 will make sure we gain promotion but I'll be disappointed if I don't win the league.

Won the league by 4 points as well before having to focus on the FA Cup. It was also too easy as we beat Changchun and Chanba 5-1 in the Qtr Final and Semi Final respectively before getting a lucky win in the final after Tianjin conceded a 93rd minute own goal as we won 3-2 to qualify for the Asian Champions League.

Just played out my first Manchester derby game at home. Won 2-0 and managed to restrict them to only 2 shots, surprisingly. :p

But in the next game, my players fried chickened out! Faced Chelsea away and Criscito gave away a free kick outside the penalty in the first minute and Pedro Leon scored from it. As if that wasn't bad enough, about 10 minutes later, Shawcross goes and give away a penalty in which Cole scored. THEN, minutes later, Shawcross gave away another penalty. Cole scored again and I was suddenly 3-0 down! Was pissed off with him and immediately brought him off. Pulled a goal back shortly after that third goal and it stayed at 3-1 till the end.

I was then given a touchline ban for criticizing the referee's decision(:lol) for the next game at home to Arsenal. Steve Clarke handled it and won 3-1 in the end. Was slightly annoyed with the goal conceded because it was a freak and fluke goal. A cross from the wide area from Arshavin suddenly went all the way into the far post of my goal. :facepalm

I like to criticize referees in the game. :p

But that's only my 3rd touchline ban in FM11.

Haha, I've earned a ban once.

WTF! Suddenly, I have a player (in this case, David Silva) became unhappy with my team talks for no apparent reason! This has never happened to me before and I basically have been doing the same thing with the team talks in FM11. So, WTH! :mad

Edinson Cavani has just broken Andy Cole's 20-year record on my save. I'm Spurs boss and he's killed it for me, banging in 56 goals in 54 games in all competitions.
