FOOTBALL Football Manager Discussion

Resigned at the end of the season with Worcester after guiding them to 4th and into the play off final only to lose 1-0. We were atrocious in the final though so I had no problems with it. Resigned as I realised that my two year contract was going to be a draw back in other clubs wanting to come in for me.

Eventually after a few rejections I was hired by Dagenham and Redbridge with a two year contract. Have made a lot of changes in the off season with patchy form in pre-season it looks like it'll take a while for things to settle down.

Have a decent squad now, quote a lot of good youngsters for this level who I'm going to be using as much as possible to keep costs down as the club is a staggering 750k in the red. New Chairman is on the way though within a week of me signing on the old one announced he was leaving.

Hoping for a top 10 finish first season just to stabilise things before a proper push next year, thats the plan anywho.

Now how's that?

Absolutely no idea. Went to resign as manager, pressed continue and the next day I was at River Plate.

Way down the table at the moment. Lost to 2nd placed Colon 2-1 in my first game.

Going to struggle understanding the Argentinian league structure, that's for sure.

Struggling to meet expectations in the league this year, a 1-0 loss at WHL against Wolves leaves me in 6th, with 4-9th my potential finishes. Got to the semis of the Carling Cup & Europa League, quarters of the FA Cup, and lost in the Charity Shield. Not been a good season, Cavani missed 4 months with a broken foot, Bale has missed 5 months total at both ends of the season. Hope I can keep my job (contracted for another 5 years at the very least).

WTF! 25k fine for getting 6 yellow cards in a match! Since when is this a rule!

I've played in matches where my team gets many yellow cards and sometimes one or two red cards but never get fined. It can happen though.

I'm just going to say. What a win! A man down and 2 goals down against Arsenal yet a superb hattrick from Javier Hernandez secures a 3-2 comeback win. Should have been 5-2 as well as Rooney was disallowed a fair goal which only resulted in a booking for Nani and Hernandez was one on one with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute but stupidly, the referee called fulltime before he shot. WTF?

Javier Hernandez! What form this guy is in. 23 goals in last 10 league games and 43 for the season (25 games).

Ashley Young in very good form as well. 8 goals, 5 assists in last 10 league games and 3 assists in the previous 3 games (so 8 goals and 8 assists in last 13)

But look at our dominance!

Don't you hate it when your keeper scores a 92nd minute own goal :facepalm

And this is Javier Hernandez' 10th league hattrick of the season. 54 league goals in 28 games and another 4 in continental matches.

Ridiculous. I can only assume they have overrated him somewhat?

Haha, also when you concede despite the opposition not having a shot on target :p

haha. And it's not that he's overrated (Rooney is better). It's more that he has good finishing and excellent pace and has the tries to break offside trap ppm so he just gets in behind and scores a hundred goals. And the tactic is pretty much get the ball up the other end and someone put the ball through for Hernandez or Rooney occassionally or just cross in for one of the strikers or wingers.

Well they hit the woodwork in the last second and the ball was scrambled around inside the box and De Gea ended up just sending the ball into his own net.
