We saw this with Andrei Kanchelskis: Fergie didn't want him to go, but he wanted to go. Result? He went. Now, I know the club will fight like the devil to keep Ronaldo, but if he gets it into his head he wants to go to Spain, we won't be able to stop him.

If a player really wants to go, I think its better you let him. Althought I dont think Ronaldo has reached that stage yet, but I think the 2008-09 season could well be his last as a United player.

I'm a little wary about what Ronaldo said about 'seeing what happens after the CL final'. Maybe he's saying he'll be tempted by Real Madrid if we don't win the game? As for 100m, that's the minimum I'd accept, taking into account the player's age, current ability and where he'll likely be in a few years time. If Real do come in for him, we have to fight like hell to keep him. I think going to Real at this stage will be a mistake, they're in a bit of a mess as far as Europe goes right now.

We arent in any mess. We were unlucky against Roma (as we usually are against any Italian side), and with the team we have now, I dont see why we cant do well in Europe as well.

Its different. For a start, Kanchelskis and Fergie had a falling out, Kanchelskis didn't go for a new challenge or anything like this.

He'll go to Spain at some point in his career, but it won't be this summer, in every interview he says he wants to stay, but either the British media or that nonsense paper Marca in Spain, twists his words. And when they say it 100 times, some people think it must be true. If he goes this summer, I'll put this in my signature.

Liverpool deserves to be Capital of Culture 2008, it is magnificent

He. Won't. Go.

Ronaldo better not leave the Premiership or i'll stab his sister. And not with my penis like I usually would.

DON'T GO CRISTIANO!!

Saying that though, Phil Neville's well better anyway.

The thing is Ronaldo loves this club, the fans, Fergie and everything about it. At the same time though he wants to sample other types of football and he doesn't want to retire having stayed at 1 club. I think he believes he can be the best player ever and I think he wants to accomplish this by having success everywhere, not just in England. Plus like Ronaldhino he'll like the nice weather.

No united fan will begrudge him the chance to play abroad, we can cope without him, no player's bigger than the club, people said we couln't cope without Ruuds goals, well look, we've won 2 titles in a row and have had far more success in Europe.

In the meantime what we can all hope is Real collapse, the Spanish league goes the same way as the Italian league, the premiership gets even better and there would be no reason for Ronny to leave :D

He'll stay a couple more years to make sure he's won absolutely everything he can with you, then prance off to Madrid.

well some sites are already suggesting that wenger has s truck a deal for nasri...him saying goodbye in the press confrence, the fans saying goodbye in the press confrence, wenger staying unusually quiet all suggest one thing...

Reports in France this evening suggest that Olympique Marseille midfielder Samir Nasri has agreed a ?17.5 million deal with Arsenal which would see the Frenchman come for around 12.5 million pounds.

Yes, Garay deal seems to have been done. Looking for someone to partner Pepe, who has done extremely well this past season. Cannavaro is caught out for pace more often than not, but his tactical smartness makes up for most of that. Metzelder's injuries doesnt make him a very reliable option and although Heinze has done well at center of defence whenever called upon, I think Schuster is looking for stability.

Lee Carsley's gone to Brimingham to be closer to his family and may I say, what a fine servant you've been to the club. Absolutely brilliant proffesional.

True, anyone who does this against Liverpool is ok for me:p.

Looks like Pique is on his way out of United, shame, he's a talented centre-back, just shows how good our squad is at the moment though.

Deffo need to buy a defender if Pique does, with the whole City squad up for sale wouldn't mind Micah Richards.
