Football Transfers Thread

I don't really think you can use bias in your argument when you've already admitted you love everything to do with Spain. You could argue that it goes in cycles which is a lot of people have said but I can't see Italian football getting back to the top for a very long time, despite them winning the world cup, and when you look at the figures about how far ahead the rest of the world the premier league is in terms of revenue it looks like it will attract the best players for a while yet. Interesting that the bundesliga came second, wouldn't have expected that given the quality of the sides is a long way off Spain and England.

Anyway looks like Madrid have backed off over Ronaldo, although they'll still use Marca to try and unsettle him I don't doubt. Also see Hlebs being linked with Barca in a lot of papers today, and I'm not sure how he'll fit in there really.

With Deco leaving, I dont see that as a problem. So Hleb left Stuttgart for Arsenal at a crucial time which pissed me off, and now he seems to be on his way to Barca. Very nice.

Good career move nevertheless, as I expect the dirty Catalans to come back strong next season simply because of the amount of freakin' talent they have.

Think Pique is a good signing too, but not sure about Guardiola though, it's a big ask to manage a club like Barcelona in your first job, even if he knows a lot of the players and has done a good job bringing them through. It will be tough winning the league 3 years running for Madrid though. Could be a couple of players who both clubs are linked with like Alves and Villa make the difference though.

Oh and Gareth Barry will decide his future in the next week. Don't go, or if you do join Everton just to see Matts reaction :D

If Gareth Barry joins Everton i'll die.

But more realistically, I think we can expect to see Michael Bradley joining us soon enough. He's expressed his desire to play for us, Herenveen are ready to sell and we're ready to buy. All depends on how much money Kenwright's gonna give Moyes over the summer and judging buy the amount of players we've alreayd released, don't be surprised if Everton turn out to be one of the most active teams in the market this summer. I hope Moyes sticks to his principles and buys sensibly though. One big name player would be nice but i'd much prefer him to do what he does best and take players out of obscurity like we've seen with Jagielka, Cahill, Arteta and Steven Pienarr.

We've signed Robert Earnshaw from Derby for £2.6 Million. Good signing for championship level.

guys can someone do a list of confirmed transfers I know

- Boswinga to Chelsea
- Flamini to AC Milan

what else?

All quiet on the Man Utd front (apart from the worrying Ronaldo stories of course). Fergie's probably planning some sneak attacks...
