Football Transfers Thread

Everton, Arsenal and United have all had 5 million quid bids for Ramsey accepted. Not confident at all in us signing him given that Pool are on hsi tail as well, but it shows good ambition from Moyesy in the sense that he's willing to fight the top 4 for players. One thing we could offer Ramsey though is immediate first team football which he probably won't get at United and the Emirates.

Anyway, whoever gets him in the end will have a realy player for the future. He's absolute dynamite this lad.

I don't think Rensing is all that bad, but the coming season will show his true ability as he'll be tested for more than just the odd 'filler' matches, so a full season should really show how good he is.

Ramsey's supposed to be a United fan, and he idolised Giggs as a youngster so hopefully that could tell. The only doubter is he'll probably get first team football at Everton like Matt said, we should be able to entice a youngster like that though, after we've won the European Cup.

Ronaldo will stay, mark my words.

Yes, I'm guessing you haven't seen the interview of the guy on SSN. Making things up as he went along. Couldn't confirm how he got access to Ronaldo when the Portuguese FA have said no interviews have taken place. Added to that, why would Ronaldo make a statement like that, when he said he would make a proper announcement in a couple of days.

He also referred to Marca, so probably employed by Madrid and Marca, the newspaper of Real Madrid. Also, call me a cynic, but the Brazilian newspaper is called "Terra", it is a branch of Telefonica, which was Madrid's sponsor between 2003 and 2007.

Quite a few notable transfers around Europe, for example Zambrotta to AC Milan and Boriello to AC Milan, Seydou Keita to Barca, Hleb is on his way to Inter I'm led to believe, Flamini to AC Milan... so a lot of activity already and there has certainly been some big ones already. Its a lot more interesting than last year! As for Ronaldo, there is no doubt in my mind he is staying, even if he wants to leave and when he does leave (which I think he will) it'll be for a stupid sum.

Who said he was overrated? He is the best player in the world, no doubts about that, and he will be if he goes. We would get over it though quickly.

Very much true, but until Ronaldo comes out and says something which shows itself to be like that, then it'll be ok.

He is no where near best player as Messi is far better also Kaka is better and Ronaldinho is better. Just so he can do well against Wigan doesnt mean he can play well against better teams like Spanish teams.
