Football Transfers Thread

I'm actually surprised that Spurs didn't pay some stupid inflated price for him to be honest. Just look at how much they paid for Darren Bent. Close to 20 mill was it? When you consider that we got Cahill, Arteta, Lescott, Yobo, Neville, Johnson, Baines, Pienaar and Jagielka combined for less than that it puts into perspective how legendary David Moyes is with his transfer dealings and how gay Spurs are.

Well going to spurs is going backwards so the price will be less and there's probably a clause in the contract saying that if he's for sale Barcelona get offered him first. I very much doubt Cardiff will be looking to buy back Ramsey if he turns into a Arsenal legend ;)

He's not a united fan. I don't care what he says.

If he was a true Utd fan, he would've joined Utd. Ok, he might have to work hard to get in the team, but surely it would be worth it in the end. If he's good enough, he'll get in the team. Just ask Scholes, Beckham and the other 'kids' from the mid nineties. Kids....bloody hell, Scholes is in his thirties now!! Time flies....

Sources tell me i'm about to have a wet dream.

Bit of a step down isn't it? Sunny beaches of Barcelona to the damp horizons of the river Mersey.

He'd fit in well, pickpockets are a problem in Catalonia too:p.

Agree about Ramsey not being a true United fan, any true United fan would have chosen United without thinking about the rest. Probably a JCL supporter.

If that's so, why did Bentley, Upson and Pennant not fulfil their potential at Arsenal, but have gone onto better things (only slightly with Pennant) at other clubs?:p

To be fair, Bentley flourished at Blackburn but we made Upson. Obviously he was very young and was gonna improve as he got older but we laid the groundwork. I think he got his first cap for Engurland as an Arsenal player. As for Pennant, Liverpool have turned him pants.

Wenger 1-0 Ferguson LOL

Pennant wasn't exactly great at Arsenal though was he? And although Walcott has started to come through this season, he hasn't played much since he went there, which is apparently the thing Ramsey wanted.

I doubt Fergie will be spending too much time worrying about not getting a 5 million 17 year old.

Pennant scored a hattrick at Arsernal.

He committed a crime and got a tag for 3 months at Brimingham and now he lives in Liverpool. I'll leave it to you to decide where he had it best.

And Walcott improved immensely in the latter half of the season.

He did have a 10 year headstart :p

He's class now. Pennant > Ronaldo. Liverpool have the best midfield in the world, don't you know.

Oui, against Southampton, hardly did anything else though.

He wasn't playing week in, week out like Ramsey wants though, was he?

Again, its taken him 2 and a half years, Ramsey wants instant football, a problem with the United offer was that he would have gone back to Cardiff for a year.

Sir Alex ferguson. Managerial career beginning 1974. In the past 34 years I make that 34 major honours. That is a ratio of 1 major honour per year.

Arsene Wenger. Managerial career beginning 1984. (At Nancy boys LOLAGE :p) In the past 20 years I make that 9 major honours, at ratio of the less than 1 honour every 2 years.

being pedantic but oh well :p

Anyway we all know Wenger will never be compared to Fergie until he wins in Europe so I shouldn't have bothered :D

Apparently Given to Arsenal. Now Given in his prime was brilliant but in the past few years we've seen Harper play a lot. this transfer should have been don straight after Seaman retired but then they had Lehmann so really they should be looking for a young keeper imo.

I Still refuse to comment on Ronaldo till it's all over too.

He's not exactly knocking on England's door now though is he?

Of course not, we wasn't that good. We had better options like Pires and it's only Ray Parlourrrrrr!

About 1 and half years. But it's paying off and eventually after enough practice on the right, he'll play as a central striker.

To quote the Joker, 'It's all part of the plan'.
