Maybe although thats what they said about Woodgate when he joined Madrid. I would prefer going for a defender who has played sufficient number of games in the last season, and more importantly is in form.

Sergio Ramos, Cicinho, and Roberto Carlos if he stays, are definately going to start. But we need another defender, or maybe two if Carlos leaves. This where the transfer of Asier Del Horno comes into picture.

Those 3 are all reliabilities though, Cicinho simply cannot defend and Becks plays behind him!

Real need a minimum of 2 central defenders and a left back.
