Football Transfers Thread

Provided Everton manage to secure a replacement.

----------

Leandro Damiao and Asamoah are now linked with Spurs.

Leandro may be a good buy, can't say the same for Asamoah as they already have Sandro and Huddlestone.

he's one of our highest payed players and frankly hasn't warranted that wage for a good 2 years now.

As the season came to a close he wasn't even starting that regularly even when fit. that money could enable us to sign pienaar and another player or two.

----------Jelvaic
Pienaar -- Fellaini ---- osman/new signing
-------gibson-- rodwell----
Baines -distin-heitinga -- neville

is much better than keeping cahill and not having gueye/osman as first choice wide players

I gasp at Berba's season, really. He did absolutely nothing wrong to be benched out like he was, even with Welbeck he should've been used more. I really really hope he stays on, no matter how unlikely. He's a class with the feet, a rare one.

He's pretty much said he's going to leave I'm afraid - and I can't blame him.

Cahill to a Saudi team? I don't understand why he'd do that - surely the goal of every player as far as club football is concerned is to play in the Champions League?

----------

What's happening is City are getting Hazard, United are getting Kagawa and Modric and Chelsea are getting Hulk. United spending the most of the lot, obviously.

I'd be most afraid of Arsenal though, we're signing a 13-year old who was playing in the England U16's last summer:D.

Screw it, we're kerplucked. Be very afraid of Chelsea, imagine what Hulk could do at a place like Chelsea, no more Kalou playing on the wings, Hulk instead... Plus another attacker, either number 10 or winger so that Mata can play behind the striker and that's unstoppable. Let's say Hazard, as e's considering Chelsea now.

There's a rumour that Hazard is to sign for Utd for ?45m - but remember, this is 'silly season'.

Admittedly, I know little about Kagawa, but he's an attacking midfielder like Modric, isn't he? I'm not sure we need two attacking midfielders.

Berbs is better than Dzeko. Fact :)

Agreed.

I must be the only Utd fan who is happy that teams like Chelsea and City have been funded by rich owners. It's made the Premiership much more entertaining and competitive and brought in much better players to the league.

The problem that Utd have is that they can't compete with the likes of City etc for the marquee players. Yes they have money to spend but on the likes of Ashley Young and Phil Jones. Hardly the calibre of Silva, Aguero and Toure.

I think Ashley Young was a class signing and comparing Phil Jones to the finished articles that City signed is hardly fair. ;)

he's not good enough for a decent champions league team, and we are very unlikely to qualify for it. And even if we do by the time we actually play in it he'll be a fringe player at best.

Australia play in the asian cup and are asian for purposes of world cup qualification, so that's partly where the rumour came from, because he has a big profile in the asian confederation he would be worth spending money.

It's almost certainly just papertalk/a nonsense rumour. but i wouldn't be surprised to see him leave for somewhere

IMO Hazard just wanted to gain popularity and become famous by mentioning big clubs like city, utd, chelsea will sign him.[Remember It's my opinion]

When was that screen taken? SSN is a pretty solid source. :) Anyway, the window opens at the end of July doesn't it?

He just wants to gain interest from the top clubs, and at the same time get a better wage.....

I know he had a shocker against Chelsea but I reckon Mario Gomez would do very well in the PL (he did for me in PES!). Can't see Bayern letting him go though.

@barmyarmy-the screen just showed as a post in my wall, villa[france] to decide whether arsenal or inter today.

Agree what steve said, but it's a disgrace if a player cheats on his former club.

There's very few players who don't dive. Also I love how if an attacking player gets kicked all game and goes over to get the free-kick they're a cheat, but the defender who pulls the strikers shirt, nails him on the ankle deliberately and in many ways breaks the rules quite deliberately is "canny" or "experienced."

Only in England :rolleyes

You have to be sick to call guys like Young, drogba and Carroll divers.

No one, my friend, beats Barcelona at it.
