But so are plenty of other clubs.Landzaat is a certain signing for Wigan.Amazing the calibre of players some lower teams have signed.
Exactly! Yossi Benayoun moving to West Ham was a huge move for the Hammers.

News just in that Bilbao are ready to match Valencia's ?5M bid for Del Horno. A bit strange this, as they did sell Del Horno to Chelsea at the start of last season.

Another twist in the Torres saga. Italian giants Inter Milan have offered ?24 million for the Spain international, which has been turned down by Atletico this week. We do now know who the hottest striker in the world is atm.

Juventus trio assure Capello they want Real Madrid move - There is ?3.5 million separating Real Madrid from Juventus star trio Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson and Gianluca Zambrotta. Real have offered ?20 million for the three players, while Juve are insisting they won't do business for anything less than ?23.5 million.

We do know who the hottest striker is;Thierry Henry! :) Yes very possible that those three will move to Madrid, but for the sake of themselves they really should look at the problems of moving to Madrid:Horrible end to great careers!

No,thats not quite true;how about the last four or five seasons.!How could you possibly think Torres is that hot?How many goals did he score,15(I think thats right.!And me saying that They'll(Idiotic three)have a horrible end to their careers,is just opinion.

Torres is a long way from being the hottest striker in the world.

Shevchenko
Henry
RVN
Eto'o
Rooney (Although he's not a out and out striker)

Just off the top of my head are all hotter than Torres.

Oh I would, just listing those above him, no particular order.

Drogba also has big potential, if he improved his finishing to a high standard he'd be lethal.

Pace, Power, Good in the air.

All of the above are established players, while Torres is a very exciting up and coming talent, so obviously he'll be as "hot" for clubs as these superstars, though for different reasons. Also the fact the Real are getting RVN for 14 million and Torres is not being sold even for 24 million pounds shows that Torres is being eyed very eagerly by several clubs.

Well said and very true.

RVN is coming to the end of his career and has fallen out with Fergie.

Torres is a good prospect, but in the 3-4 seasons I've seen of him I don't think he has the mentality for top level football.

I don't think that Torres is all that consistent either, although you can't deny that he is an excellent striker when on form.

I disagree and would like to know what makes you think that. Yes, he isnt playing for a top level club (here I mean a club that is playing in the CL), but that does not mean he cant perform in top level football. He has done well for Spain, and has donethe same for Atletico even against the top Spanish teams.

Like Ritwik said, you have to be good to be getting offers of ?20-25M. (And Chelsea not being one of them)

A player's valuation doesn't always show how good they are; look how much Man Utd payed for Veron.

I do agree with everything else you said though.
