Football Transfers Thread

Toon have announced that they have signed Duffarama for 5 Million. What the heck. Spurs had bid 10 Mn.

Also Pompey have entered the race for Sorin. [:o]

60 million for Kaka would be the highest they would go. I'm sure that Milan will sell him for less, if at all.

Rumor has it that Ronaldo may return to Inter Milan in exchange for Adriano going to Madrid. I'd be happy with that move - Adriano is big but not fat ;).

Sorry to see Duff going - he was one of my favorite players on Chelsea and one of the few reasons I watched the EPL at all. Although it will be fun to watch him and Owen together (if Owen ever gets healthy ;)).

Well that's what they've told the stock market, so that's what the fee was.

It would be illegal to disclose a different fee to the stock market as it affect share prices, which you could deem as fraud.

He is an absolute tank(Adriano)!Class player! That would be a great swap for Madrid.

And Pompey getting Sorin would be another good snatch from a lower placed team. They'cve all done brilliantly with their Signings this summer.

Well Villarreal screwed it up really this season, losing in the Intertoto. So I wouldnt be surprised if Forlan and Riquelme followed Sorin out of the club.

Bayern are up to 17 million euros for Ruud. Although the Spanish papers are still saying that Madrid are in the running - one paper even said he'll be presented on Thursday :D.

Jermaine Pennant has signed a four year deal for Liverpool today. Expect another signing before the week is out.

Craig Bellamy and Jermaine Pennant? Liverpool certainly like signing the bad boys don't they?

He was very much a second choice signing though. Sevilla's Daniel Alves was the main target but Sevilla kept upping the price.

I think Liverpool will be better off with Pennant though; his bad boy reputation aside, he is a pretty decent winger. I'd have liked to have him at Everton.

I don't know what Benitez sees in Pennant. Its already bad enough having a criminal record but his football doesn't make up for it. He's fast, thats it.

Does having a criminal record really effect his playing abilities though?

I dont condone his crime (Drink driving and driving without insurance) but he has served his time for this and it's what most kids seem to do in their spare time these days anyway :p

Disclaimer: You would think I've been reading the Daily Mail from that statement wouldn't you, but I haven't ;)
