Thiago Silva would've been perfect but obviously that's not going to happen now. A Barcelona side with Silva in there would've been like playing FIFA on Amateur.
Vertonghen would fit in pretty well. I?igo Mart?nez is another one who looks like a more realistic choice. Hummels has been linked a lot and is excellent on the ball but probably lacks the turn of pace to fit in and he's had a bit of a poor season, tbh.
He should never have left - he was always going to be a Barca bench-warmer.
As for us, I think Lewandowski is Sir Alex' main target. RvP with Lewandowski would be formidable; I think we're looking at Rooney dropping back into attacking midfield with Carrick further back. Still not sure about the solidity of that configuration.
Bayern are also after him, but I think Sir Alex has a point - they're not going to want to sell another of their top players to their main rivals.
I think you don't really need Lewandoski that is if Rooney doesn't play midfield, you have Hernandez, not to forget the worst player for you this season Valencia.
Rubbish, it's the Daily Star anyway. He's not going to leave so quickly, he has played well for Barca and it'd be silly to leave so early. He knew what he was in for.
If he does leave though, it'd be to us. He has a 50% sell-on clause I believe, so we can offer 70 m and only pay 35 m, whereas Chelsea or Man City will have to fork out more than 70 m which won't happen.

Lewandowski is definitely needed if Rooney plays in midfield, he's far better than Hernandez and Welbeck, he'd be good in front of RVP.

Ha ha - joke or rumour we don't really need him, especially if we do get Lewandowski. We don't really need him either - what we need is a... y'know the drill.
Okay first things first,it's the Telegraph & second I'd be so happy if he leaves, but whom will they get to replace him? Arsene Wenger might move to P$G
Here's one I'd really like to come off: Bale to Man Utd - a ready made replacement for Giggs and one of the hottest properties in football at the moment. Numerous things are flying around: a ?55m bid, combined with Nani and Anderson, or Ashley Young in exchange. Nani, I wouldn't mind, ditto Anderson but Young we should keep. He's a good player - it's not his fault he's had such lousy luck with injuries this season.
Apparently, there has already been some discussion between Man Utd and Spurs, with Spurs slapping a ?70m pricetag on Bale! Couldn't we get Ronaldo for that sort of money? Of course, Bale's younger than Ronaldo but the latter is easily in the top two best players in the world, and would probably like a move back to Old Trafford at some point.
Sounds like Man Utd are going the 'we're gonna score one more than you' route, instead of worrying about things like midfield ball winners.
