Football Transfers Thread

It's basically united fans being so spoilt and childish that they don't give a young player a fair chance and declare him to be the worst professional footballer of all time and an evil on a par with an intergalactic super-villain.

Now it all makes sense... :p

Lol, I'm going to take a guess and say he's not a natural winger? :p

Oh and, ain't that what Valencia's done all season too? :rolleyes

All we can go by is what we've seen - and nothing, nothing whatsoever he's done indicates he's anywhere near the quality required of a Man Utd player. If he was actually any good, he would've played more! He hasn't been anywhere near the first team for ages - so why are we still keeping him? It doesn't help us, and it sure as hell doesn't help him. The fact we dropped ?7m on him doesn't really help matters.

Nothing childish about that.

Valencia's had an awful season, but you have to remember that last year he was the Utd Player of the Year. He'll come back stronger next year and in fairness I think he's been playing quite well for the last few weeks.

Regarding Bebe, I don't think I've ever seen worse crossing than that.

This whole idea of Utd fans not giving young players a chance. Really? Have you forgotten all about The Fergie Fledglings?

Oh, and apparently Rooney wants to go to Chelsea of all places! OK, here's the deal: Mata to Man Utd, Rooney to Chelsea. Interested?

No, didn't think so. :D

That's the only way I'd let Rooney go to a rival Premiership team: if they gave us a large wodge of cash as well as one of their top players.

Completely irrelevant. That was, in footballing terms, so long ago and so much has changed since that it may as well have taken place in a different dimension.

Besides I was on about this one young player. Not young players in general.

He's not good enough, but it's not his fault Man U just threw cash at him. To a club like Man U dropping 10m on a gamble is fair game. To everyone else, it's a potential marquee signing.

I am not high on Rooney at all. United would be lucky to get more than ?20m for him. Vastly, VASTLY overrated.

You take that blog as a good one?

That's what I thought too, but he apparently signed his 3 year deal with Malaga in November of 2010...

Most contracts expire at the end of the season, not at the end of the moment they signed it.

Or am I wrong?:p
